Chapter Eleven
LATER THAT SAME EVENING
Tessa was so tired, she was nodding off sitting next
to AJ on the couch. He had been talking to Nick. The others had all gone
to bed in their bunks.
Nick inclined his head towards Tessa. "She has had
a big day. I think you need to put her to bed..... TO SLEEP." He got up and
patted AJ on the shoulder and went to bed himself.
AJ got up pulling Tessa with him. "Come on, sleepy.
It's time for bed." He led her to his bunk and crawled in. When he was far
enough back against the wall, Tessa got in and laid next to him in the spoon
position. "It's a damn good thing I am not claustrophobic." She said looking
around.
AJ reached over and pulled the drapes shut. "Let me
take your mind off of it."
"Oh no you don't. There are too many people around
us buster." She said swatting his hand away from her breast.
"I can be real quiet and quick." AJ said as he began
to kiss the back of her neck.
"Bastard." She said teasingly.
"Oh, I love it when you talk dirty to me." He whispered
in her ear. He began to touch her...everywhere. Slowly, very slowly he began
to undress her. He got enough off to gain access to her.
He entered her from behind and made slow sweet love
to her. Tessa had to bite her lip to keep from making any noise. His free
hand was on her breast rubbing her nipple with his thumb, on her abdomen
pressing her further onto him and in her mound expertly bringing her toward
climax. He was kissing the back of her neck and nipping her shoulder.
In her ear, he whispered, "I was so glad to see you
tonight. I have missed you so much. Oh, you feel so good. Oh......." Tessa
felt his release and she came too at the sound of his, "Oh." God how she
loved this man.
Nick was awake. He could hear them. They were trying
to be quite, but he still heard them. They were right below him. It was
tormenting him. He was wishing it was himself that was there with Tessa instead
of AJ. He was angry with himself. How in the world could he be infatuated
with his friend's girlfriend, especially after only knowing her for a few
hours? He rolled over and punched his pillow. He would have to get over it.
He would not let anything happen. It was just a momentary crush...he told
himself. He heard AJ's "Oh." He was very familiar with that sound. Nick raised
up and punched his pillow again. "Damn!" he whispered in the dark.
THE NEXT MORNING
"Pit Stop," yelled Brain as the bus pulled into a
restaurant parking lot. Tessa pulled back the drapes and saw a sea of feet
flying out of the bunks. Howie and Nick almost crashed in the middle. They
were coming out from opposite sides. Then she saw Kevin emerging out of his
bunk. He smiled and went on.
"Do you guys choreograph your mornings so you don't
get killed?" Tessa asked AJ as she gingerly got out of the bunk.
AJ chucked. "Real food. Not bus food. FOOD! Let's go,
I'm starving."
Brian had found a table for six and had ordered a round
of coffee. They all sat with him excited about having a real breakfast, not
bus food.
Tessa was still a little amazed that she was with the
Backstreet Boys. It was mind boggling. She was beginning to get used to them.
She felt like she had a whole bunch of brothers. They were so much fun to
be around.
She took in their disheveled appearance at just getting
up. If only their fans could see them all now, she thought. Howie's hair
was loose, but adorable. He actually looked more sexy in the morning. Nick's
hair was combed back but still falling in his eyes. Kevin had the heaviest
beard growth of all. Tessa though that the grunge look would be good on him.
Brian's eyes were not quite all the way open yet and his hair was kinda off
to one side on the top. AJ, well...he was AJ. Sometimes with him, it was
hard to tell disheveled from normal. He was so damned adorable. She leaned
over and kissed him on the cheek.
"I'm going to miss you guys when I go home tomorrow."
She looked at AJ. "I'll definitely miss you the most, big guy." She said
as she playfully punched him in the jaw.
"Home? Why are you going home so soon?" AJ asked.
"I have to look for another job, remember?"
"But, why so soon?" AJ looked dejected.
"Why don't you stay with us?" Nick said. I can't let
her leave yet. "I'm sure we could put you to work. Don't you think
guys?"
Howie jumped in, "Yes, stay for a while."
Kevin came up with the clincher, "You could be the
official Backstreet typist." He really did not like being the secretary and
having to be the one to always write everything down.
"Yeah," Nick chimed in. Thank you Kevin. "You could
even do the typing for me online. I can't keep up with the questions I get.
I'm always four questions behind while I'm trying to type all the answers.
You would be a big help."
AJ sat up taller and looked at the woman he loved.
"Tessa, I really want you to stay with us. I don't think I can stand being
away from you again." He looked at her with his chocolate eyes.
Tessa looked at the five men she was sitting with.
Her gaze stopped with Brian. "You haven't stated your opinion. For me to
stay, it has to be unanimous, or I go home. There is no way in Hell, that
I would be the cause of any unrest among the five of you."
Brain looked at her for a moment. "I think you are
good for AJ. I think you are fun, smart and easy to look at."
"Hey," AJ said jokingly. "That is my lady, don't talk
sweet to her." And he picked up his cup of coffee and took a sip.
"OK," Brian said. "Tessa, you're a dog, but I think
I would like you to stay."
AJ's coffee came spraying out of his mouth and across
the table. "Oh man, Not when I'm taking a drink." AJ wiped his mouth and
began to laugh.
They all began to laugh. She had enough money saved
to stay for a while. Tessa held up her hands and said, "Ok. You all win.
I'll stay."
Five hands came together in a smack above her head.
"Yes!"
'Yes!' Nick thought to himself.
