Choose one of the following mini-projects below and follow the instructions completely. This is worth 100 pts. If you are writing a project it must either be typed/word processed or handwritten on college ruled paper using only blue or black ink. Include your name, the date and the title of the project.
1. Research the original cast of The Beverly Hillbillies and write a two to three page report on whether they're still alive and what they're doing if they are. Include Jed, Granny, Jethro, Elly May, Cousin Pearl, Mr. Drysdale and Miss Jane Hathaway.
2. Rent the movie remake of The Beverly Hillbillies and compare and contrast it to the original series. You will definitely see some similarities between some of the episodes and the movie. Write a two to three page paper on your analysis of the movie vs. the original episodes. Which did you find to be more effective and were the family values present in the movie?
3. Write a two to three page paper on the family value most important to you and why it is so.
4. The Clampetts believe in a lot of family traditions. In a two to three page paper describe your favorite family tradition and tell why it is so.
5. You've already been introduced to The Ballad of Jed Clampett, now write a ballad of your own that describes your family. Should be long enough to cover the entire family adequately.
