PoEmS

These are some poems that I've collected either from my friends or I've wrote them myself.I hope you like them and if you want me to post any of your original poems then e-mail them to me and I would be more than happy to do so.Thanx!

"Teenagers"

It all begins when we are born, alot of pain our mother's torn. But when we get to toddler stage, our innocence dissolves with age.Pacifiers are thrown away, growing up has it's price to pay.Put to bed by a kiss and hug, cuddling teddy bears with love.Soon to leave our school days are here, mean old bullies add to our fear. The teacher's paddle left its welt, but not as much as did dad's belt. The middle school was lots of fun, we realized life had just begun. Then freedom came when highschool did, from mean upperclassmen we hid.The opposite sex came to mind, our one true love we tried to find. Our hearts were broken one by one, losing our first love was no fun.But then came more and more to bear, when problems arose they weren't there.A teen's life has problems galore, as time goes by there'll be much more. This poem's wrote for parents too, this poem's meant for teens like you.

-Tonya R. King

Laying down with our backs to the world and an endless sky above is hurled. The twinkle of a distant bright is taken in to me this night. The feel of your hair brings new life to this crying sole, the touch of your skin brings me from dusk to dawn inside my head is the only thing that keeps me sane. But along with that there is no pain.Your eyes absorb my soul like never ending well.To spend a day with you, I'd spend ten days in hell.

-Russell Young

"Snow"

I see you snow, but where do you go?Come land on my nose, and freeze my toes.

-Stephanie R. Tyo

The Autumn breeze egnites the beauty of earth.Springs gentle breeze fondles memories of birth. You will stand strong and keep your balance. If he's not worth it, don't take a second glance.Always remember who you are.Remember some wishes come true, watch for a falling star.Follow your dreams and become someone great.Trust in fate.No matter what, always love yourself.

-Jessica Duckworth

Dreams are dear while they are near yet when they drift, on winds so swift, they leave us a wreck. All alone in heck.So set your sight upon a light and acheive your goal to win back your soul.

-Joelleen Bright

"One Prayer"

When I kneel before the Lord and and pray, I save a little pray just for you.Whatever obstacles life throws your way, Remember;to thine own self be true.

-Stacy "Bug" Hamric

"Friendship"

A friend will stand beside you, and stay there come what may.A friend knows you're not perfect, but loves you anyway.

-Kenneth Brown (Dedicated to me from Stephanie R. Tyo)

Life goes by and by, flowers wilt and die.People will doubt, and lights will burn out.Nothing lasts forever.Old men will die, and babies cry. There is nothing you can do, but that's not new.Nothing lasts forever.Time stops for no one, everything did has already been done. There's no reason for life, so why not end it with a knife? Why?Because there is something and it does last forever:God's love.

-Stephanie R. Tyo

"Echo"

I shouted aloud and louder while on a plane one day.The sound grew faint and fainter till it died away. The noise gone forever it left no trace or track. But the hills nearby caught up the cry and sent an echo back.I spoke a word in anger, to one who was my friend. Was like a knife cut him deeply.A wound was hard to mend. The word never forgotten. We couldn't both forget. But echoes live a memory gives the recollection yet.A word or deed of kindness will come back 100 fold. And echo again in the hearts of men and leave a joy untold.

-Autumn McGraw

Love is often strong but fleeting.Don't run from its briefness.Embrace it.Love is a mystery that is pointless when solved.

-Jessi Blue Gormazano

"Worm Tunnels"

From all the chaos in the world, I go to the worm tunnels to hide. They may be small and may be curled, but they make all bad things right.

-Tonya R. King

"What Dreams May Come"

Sometimes right before I go to sleep, I lay awake and dreams begin to creep.I wonder, "Who is it that will turn my life around?Who will wipe my tears away and leave my fears astray?Who is it that will protect me and make me strong...and yet respect me for what I think is wrong?Who will stand by me and wait for what dreams may come?"I wonder, "Is he right for me?Is he the one that will be with me for eternity? Is it meant to be?"All this I do not know, yet I wait for what dreams may come.

-Tonya R. King

"Alone"

So here I sit, all alone. All alone and not for the first time again I wonder without knowing what is it exists and what I am doesn't.Again I know but I'm unfamiliar.Faces in crowds are blurred with all-knowing.Alife lived and still hardly started reminds me of what used to be and how that it's all gone.So I sit and not alone but faces I know blur me and love me and hate me and know me.But I am alone in a crowd where all surrounded me.

-Ashley Nicole Gibson

"Tonya"

She is someone who makes you smile, even in the sadest times. She brings out the laughter behind the tears. So if you ever need to smile, find Tonya and I guaruntee a smile.

-Florence King

As the brightness of the moon reflex off the crystal sea.I look at you, you look at me. I find myself falling, deeper into your never-ending soul. And all who stand before, see that pain has took its toll. But overcome we must, the fight must be renewed. An equilibrium must be reached to end the fables feud. Heaven joined with Hell, a brimstone cloud above. Not the Devil or an Angel but an everlasting love.

-Russell Young

I hear music while you're near, Went through it all to shed a tear. But this, the second term you view, God's looking down on me and you. I float so high when you're around, My feet wont even pat the ground. I breathe you into all of me, You make me whole and set me free. You cast me from this worldly slate, And glide me up to heaven's gate.

-Tonya R. King

In a path I did so well.I met a boy I loved so well.He came into my heart by me. But now this has set me free. For this I know the reason why. For this other girl was much prettier than I.I went home and layed on my bed. And not a word to my mother was said.My father came home late that night. And searched the house from left to right. In the door where he'd broken down. He saw me hanging without a frown. On the bedside this note was found. And in this note these words were bound."Dig a hole and dig it deep. In a marble tomb from head to feet. And on this tomb please place a dove. and tell the world I died for love."

-Lisa M. Wolford

One glance is all I need, of your eyes, to get me thru the day.But staring deeply in your eyes could kill me, but love me come what may. Some say eyes are the window to the soul. I say they are right. For you've seen mine and, I've seen yours, and we steal them in the night.Sitting daydreaming and, thinking of you. I hope that we never part. But someday soon, you'll realize that in your hand lies the key to my heart.

-Tonya R. King

"Shut-up"

I want to burst,I want to explode.Make a mistake,Throw off this load. If I wasn't her,Who would I be?Just a fool wearingOpinions on my sleeve. I'm so degrading,I'm so bleak.I'm so silent,Just let me speak.I'm so dirty, Take your shame off my head.I'm so wordy,Your words feel like lead.
