THE ELEMENTS

Pagan Clipart

Each time I start a new page I debate with myself as to how much information I should put on these pages. I don’t want to overwhelm those who stumble onto my pages, but I also don’t want to hold back anything I have discovered and learned. I decided that I should put down everything I could possibly think of on the subject and then let you decided as to how you want to intake and learn. This page is on the Elements and there is a ton of information here. Most is from my own readings and the rest is from personal experience. You may notice that almost all websites have the same information and you seem to be reading the same thing over and over again. This is because correspondences like these do not change from person to person… they are the same for everyone and they will always remain the same. Air will always be East and the colour for Water will always be blue.

The Elements are one of the most powerful tools you will use as Wiccan or Pagan. They are represented in everything we do including the pentacle, the most commonly known Wiccan symbol. The pentacle represents each of the elements with a single point, with the fifth point representing the "All" or spirit. The Elements will also be some of the most natural tools you will use. The Elements are all around us, every day. You can feel the wind when you step outside or the sun beating down on your face. Earth, Air, Fire and Water are very powerful on their own and when you attune yourself with these powers you can accomplish wonderful things. No one said it better than Scott Cunningham when he said “Attuning and working with these energies in magic not only lends you the power to affect dramatic changes in your life, it also allows you to sense your own place in the larger scheme of Nature.” All elements have defined characteristics that are explored below. Once again, happy learning and brightest blessings.
