I have to begin with the thing thats still fresh on everyone's minds, King Karnage. Easily the greatest Pay Per View in WoW... no in efed history, King Karnage brought some of the best written matches and angles to the fans and readers. Beginning with the victory of Mason over the returning Rage, this show delivered all that one could ask for. Mason tore Rage a new asshole, as I thought he would, and proved why he is going to be a WoW staple in the coming term of service. My only regret is that Mason may not be in action in a few weeks due to the sudden death of his father. My thoughts go out to Mason in this sad time.
The escape of Chad Harzy from the hospital where he was being held foreshadowed an interesting night for Forsaken, but the return that shocked everyone first was PKA. It didnt' take long for PKA to get right back in the action when he interfered in the Fatal Four Way match. Good as it must feel for him to return, PKA may have made a mistake, earning a lot more than Kris Star's approval-- I see that he's made an enemy in Judas, Zero, and Quake. Quake had this won, in my opinion, but all three men are going to feel robbed after PKA's antics.
The match itself was one of the most brutal I've ever seen... but its kind of funny that none of the brutality happened within the ring, so technically it was a straight up match. Props go to Zero for his creative use of an umbrella.
Justin Payne led an incredible comeback night as I saw in him some of that old flare I've come to love from him. His determination not only got him the win over Tim Gorder, but carried him into an impromptu match with Chandra, and he gained the brutality title. Payne may have proven a lot of nay-sayers wrong about him, but he has a long hard road back to the top, and no one is going to make it easy on him.
The Buckets of Fun match was kind of disappointing... not because of the lack of action, but because of the lack of defense from Death. I have to hand it to Jecht, he kept up a good fight even with the lack of competition.
We also saw the return of a happier, cockier, Smoke Dawg. Its good to have him back, but he's going to eventually have to come face to face with Ichabod, and that's going to be a rough day for him, I guarantee it.
The rooftop battle was incredible, with a lot of added surprises. Professor Zandor never fails to delight the fans with his antics, and the futuristic gizmos he used in this match were very entertaining. B-Pac took the win well, impressing everyone. Also, VP James added his personal touch to the match and made himself a spot in the stories that swirl in WoW. Its nice to see him taking an active part like this.
My girl Chandra did really well in her matchup with Lax, but came up short when Payne challenged her. She gets a rematch on the return Malice, and I forsee trouble with Payne. Chandra is not going to let him go with that title.
The "bra and panties" match was cancelled in favor for a regular matchup, much to the dismay of the male fans. Both women did well in the match, negating Darren's influence in the match. In the end Rose came out on top as the new European Champion. With her friendship with Mason, I see the both of them rising to the top of this fed quickly. Sadly, this was Selena's last matchup. She will be missed.
In what I call the match of the night, Ichabod and Triple X punished one another for an exciting battle. In a surprise ending, both men were declared the victor. I can forsee a great battle between Ichabod's stable and the Elite... for some very surprise reasons that I will not reveal at this time. Just let it be known that the force that overcame Ichabod will play a big role in WoW soon, and Elite has no idea what they are up against... trust me.
The King Karnage match itself foreshadowed the trouble Elite would have with Forsaken as the returning Chad Harzy brutally assaulted BPac just before the match started. Bpac surprised everyone, however, by gaining the crown in a short but exciting match. Bpac will be a force to be reckoned with whether or not he has the Elite behind him. He has come of his own lately, and he will make waves in the World Title ranks.
What can I say about the main event? With close to ten people involved in the match, it proved to be one for the history books. The acceptance of Cheapshots into the Elite... however predictable... will throw a curveball into the upcoming stories surrounding Elite and Forsaken.
Well with that recap of King Karnage, I'd like to list my top ten wrestlers I see influencing WoW in drastic ways before the next pay per view.
