"Never Gonna Stop" by Rob Zombie plays over the loud speakers, the fans come alive as Steve Somers makes his way from the backstage area. Somers walks cockily towards the ring wearing a pair of Oakley's and smirking to the crowd. When he reaches ringside he stops, places his hands on his hips and smirks towards his opponent. Somers then climb the steps and enter through the ropes. He mounts the nearest turnbuckle and raises his arms in the air soaking up the energy from the crowd. He then dismounts the buckle and removes his Oakley's, tossing them into the crowd and starting the match.
Steve then started his wrestling career in ESW, there he posted an undefeated record. Later on he joined the famous 'Untouchables" stable and aligned himself with former ESW Champion Chris Cammeron. But a week after forming the stable, Steve turned his back on Chris during a tag match, and fired Cammeron from the untouchables claiming to be the sole remaining member of the Untouchables. Steve's status grew, as he was headlining the last PPV against 'Maniac Morris' for the US title, but the federation closed the week of the PPV due to backstage politics.
From there, Steve traveled to the FWA. He made an immediate impact on the roster, competing for the Franchise title in his first singles match. President Anarchy had changed the US title to the Franchise title when Johnny Levy retired as the US Champion. Steve was awarded the Franchise title after a controversial match with Kid Punk. Steve lost the title in his first defense to the legendary Rick Tyler. That match against Tyler brought out he best in Steve and ignited his arrogant attitude to a new level. Only after three weeks the FWA closed, due to Anarchy's lack of time to run the federation.
Steve then moved on to Johnny Hawke's IWF. Where he instantly became the top draw by attacking the new crowned world champion Marky Chang. After Chang had won the title, Somers, then unknown to IWF, attacked him with a steel chair. The week after that incident, Steve was booked in a non title match against Marky Chang. Chang felt so confident about his title win, that he made the match against the newcomer a title match. Steve then pinned Chang in the middle of the ring, using the One Night Stand. Steve won the world title that night, however Johnny Hawke came out and declared the match non title again, taking Somers title away and restarting the match. Chang then caught Somers off guard and nailed him with the Marky Chang Music, thus retaining the title. The Chang and Somers feud lasted a month. In that time, Chang tagged with Prime to face Somers and Omega, Omega pinned Prime. Somers and Chang were signed to meet again at Evolution in an Iron Man Match for the world title. The card was then eventually cancelled, then resigned at the PPV in a No Interference/Heritage Match. then again, the PPV was cancelled, and Johnny Hawke closed down the IWF.
Global Productions bought out the IWF and merged with Marky Chang's fed, thus creating the United Wrestling Federation. In the opening Kamikaze show, Steve Somers was involved in a four way match between Shawn Stevens, Todd Clayborne, and Damen Cross. The match didn't last very long, and Steve ended up knocking out his opponents with a steel chair, which prompted him to be DQed, Todd Clayborne eventually won the match. Which sparked a Clayborne/Untouchables feud, which lasted a nearly a month. The following week the UWA debuted a superstar named Sebastian Black. Steve was pitted against Black and Josh Trent in a triple threat match. Somers and Black doubled teamed Trent throughout the match, which Black pinned Trent to become the #1 contender for the International Action Title, and Black and Somers formed a faction of the popular group known as the Untouchables. The following week the UWA started the tag team title tournament, with two four team elimination matches, with the winning teams to fight in the finals for the tag team titles in the main event. Somers and Black were pitted against the teams of Kakuma/Josh Trent, Tormenta/Hugo Marinez ll, and Extreme Diversion. Somers and Black were DQed, but helped XD win the match and go on the the finals. XD defeated the Creeds, with help from Somers and Black, to win the tag team titles, thus XD joining the Untouchables. XD didn't mesh very well with Somers and Black, and eventually were fired from the group after losing the tag team titles to Prime and Brujah.
the following week was the start of the world title tournament, in which Somers faced up and comer Hugo Marinez ll. The match was close, however Somers defeated Marinez to advance to the PPV for the second round. The following week Somers and Black faced the tram of Clayborne and Willy Beaumont. Somers and Black won the match by DQ, as their opponents used twelve Elvis's to interfere in the match. The following week was the UWA's only PPV. Steve Somers fought Sanitarium in the second round, then later that same night, defeated Todd Clayborne in the finals to win the world title. This was the beginning of the Harley Hawkins/Untouchables feud. Somers suffered a concussion after the world title match, when he was attacked by to masked men, and took the next week off. Somers was scheduled to face Willy Beaumont in his first title defense, but Beaumont left the fed and went on vacation. So Somers faced Riot in a non tile match, which he won rather handily. On the last Kamikaze broadcast, Somers faced K McKormick, aka Masta K, in a Jailbait non title match. Somers lost the match, but fled police and ran into the crowd. That was the last time Steve Somers was seen on TV.
