11-17-01 Thanksgiving Misgivings was to say, the least, one great show. It was the final show of the year for us here in Mineral Wells and we went out with a bang. We saw the debut of 4 new wrestlers thanks to the open door policy. From New Mid South in Oklahoma in Dynamite Extreme, Christopher Matthews, & Tyler Bateman. Dynamite Extreme came out on TOP's and won The New Mid South tag team title from Matthews & Bateman.

The open door policy has been seen many newcomers come into TOP's. The first to come in were Fast Eddie & Hobo Joe and Mr. Venom quickly picked up Fast Eddie and made him a part of his stable. He is now teaming with "The One & Only" Chuck Murphy as The Impact Thrillers. Hobo has been in a few times since and has been making an impact each time. Hobo has always seemed to be a loner but at Thanksgiving Misgivings we saw he does have people watching his back. In a match up with another newcomer "The Shooter" Scott Stuart, Hobo was victorious but Stuart was not happy with the loss and began to attack Joe. Then out came Kid Khaos to what we all thought was to help Hobo but he began attacking him as well. It was 2 on 1 and out of no where B J Turner came out to save Hobo. Turner has not been in TOP's before and obviously he was just there to watch and did not like what he had seen. After the match, Khaos then told everyone he was tired of riding in Hobo's shadow and he was going out on his own and from now on wanted to be known as Dannyboy Collici. Obviously these 2 men have a past and it is not running on into TOP's. So it looks like there is more to this situation than we all know, so we will just have to watch this situation. We will continue with the open door policy in 2002 as well. We have already begun negotiations with wrestlers to come into TOP's.

Also at the show we saw the end of the career of Sensei. It was his doing and not by an injury. Sensei has decided to retire after 7 long years here in TOP's and he went out holding the Texas Heavyweight Title. It was not that Venom did not try and get the belt as he had Sensei entered into a gauntlet match however, Sensei survived it and also got his hands on Mr. Venom one last time. We spoke to Sensei before the show about his career and he had told us this was his last match. We will have that statement on here very soon. So we would like to wish Sensei the best and hope he has a happy retirement. During the gauntlet match we saw the return of Bad Brad Michaels. Michaels had lost a loser leave town match earlier in the year but Venom found a loop hole in the contract and was able to bring him back in. Obviously they have patched up their problems because it was Chuck Murphy, who at that time was called The Mercenary, cost Brad the match. Brad had been part of Venom's Crue but they had had a falling out and Venom wanted to make sure that The Mercenary got the cruiserweight title and not Brad. This is very typical of Venom he uses his men to get what he wants then dumps them. So we will have to see just what Venom's plans are for Brad.

There was an eight-man tag with all Venom's Crues' titles on the line as well as The Commissionership. Jared Steele defeated Ricky Jackson to retain his Southern Title. Wade defeated Chuck Murphy to win the cruiserweight title. Jimmy James defeated The F'N Texan to win The Lonestar Title and The Cowtown Kidd defeated Fast Eddie to win the Light Heavyweight title and the commissionership. Cowtown then appointed Jimmy James as the commish. Venom was furious, as he had lost all but one of his belts and the one thing that helped him have control of TOP's. As Wade's team was in the ring celebrating, Jimmy James threw a fireball at them all. He then went and got a trash can lit it on fire and was about to dump The Cowtown Kidd in it when out came Shea Wright to save Cowtown. It was obvious than Venom had a backup plan, as Jimmy the one who has stuck up for TOP's all the years, turned his back on the fans and joined Venom. Where has Shea been all this time no one really knows and why the sudden attitude change? The last time we seen Shea he had turned his back on The Cowtown Kidd and the fans. There is alot of questions to be answered after this show. Wade said he was tired of Mr. Venom having the odds in his favor so he went out and created his own stable. Consisting of Cowtown, Ricky, The Douglas Brothers, Justin Walker ,Shea Wright & Hoss. So it looks like Venom has his hands full now and with Rusty Maguire the new president, hopefully the days of Venom controlling things are over.
