08/11/02 - Fans, the unthinkable has happened as TOS now controls all the titles here in TOPS. This past Saturday was the worst Parade of Champions ever here.
The show started out with Kit Carson coming to the ring with the rest of the TOS members and said he had a very big announcement to make. He said that they had their own official referee who was none other than Senior Official Rick Manning. What a shock this was to everyone to see Rick join TOS. Then Rick said that there was another announcement and that he was now co-owner of TOPS. We are not sure what is going on here or how Rick became an owner but we are checking into it. Finally Rick said that Jimmy James was no longer the TOPS commissioner and he was going to appoint a new one, he then appointed Fitz. The deck was already stacked against TOPS to start the show.
We saw the debut of a newcomer American Anarchy; however he was on the losing end in his match with Kevin Duncan.
The first title match was for The Unified Tag Team Titles as
The Impact Thrillers challenged Ricky Jackson & The Natural. Rick Manning
was the referee in this match and was very biased towards TOS. The Impact
thrillers had their hands full but they fought their hearts out to keep the
belts. However, due to Rick's officiating and the fact that they were trying
to injure Chuck Murphy by attacking his ribs the whole
match, TOS won their first set of belts. They were not done yet as they set
up a table and put Chuck Murphy through it, trying to end his career for good.
Scott Stuart tried to help Chuck, but was jumped from behind
by Scott Mustaine and some masked guy dressed all in black who had Numchucks
and began beating Scott. Then they turned their attention to Chuck and continued
to try to injure his ribs. Scott tried to help Chuck
but he was not successful as he was already hurting and bleeding internally.
Luckily, JPW & Solo came to their aid and with the help of Security ushered
these guys out of the bldg.
TOS gained their second title as Brett Bonz defeated Shea Wright
due to outside interference
from Kevin Duncan. TOS was on a roll and vowed they would take every title
that night. Mr. Venom and Fitz had words as Fitz was gloating he was commish
and Rick was co-owner and he could do as he wishes. Venom vowed that neither
Fitz nor Rick would control him or TOPS.
Chuck Murphy was scheduled to defend his Light Heavyweight Title
against his cousin Keats Douglas. However, Keats said he would not wrestle
Chuck since he was not 100% because of his ribs. He said he would wait till
Chuck was at a 100% and they would fight then. You have to commend Keats
for his actions and it just goes to show that no matter what has happened
in the past TOPS is sticking together. This brought out Rick Manning who said
since Chuck was injured and unable to wrestle he was
appointing his own Light Heavyweight to the match. Out came Justin Walker,
who we all know is not a Light Heavyweight. Venom refused to allow Justin
to compete because he was not in the weight class for this
match. Rick stated he weighed Justin on his own personal scale and he was
in their weight class. Venom had no choice but to accept this, but he made
it clear Chuck was not bowing out and he would defend his belt,
so Rick made it a 3-way. During the match out came Kyzer Douglas and interfered
in the match and took Keats out of it. He made sure Keats was in no condition
to finish the match and with Rick being the biased
official, he let it happen. In the end Justin took advantage of Chuck ribs
and used his weight advantage to win the title. Venom was furious that this
happened and vowed Rick would pay for screwing TOPS.
The F'N Texan JPW was set to face Kyzer Douglas and bring back
The Southern Title to TOPS which Kyzer won the week before in De Leon. Just
as JPW had the match won, out came Kevin Duncan once again and
distracted JPW long enough to allow Kyzer to take the advantage and win the
match and retain the title.
Finally Wade Walker faced Kit Carson for the Texas Title, before
the match Rick made this an I Quit Match. This was a brutal match as Kit used
everything he could to get Wade to quit, but he would not. All of a
sudden Rick called for the bell and said that Wade had quit. We all knew he
never said "I Quit" but Rick was the official and once again he
screwed TOPS out of a title. Mr. Venom was furious of Rick's call and
came out to confront him. Venom made a mistake because the rest of TOS was
in the ring congratulating Kit on his win and a clean sweep over TOPS. As
he was arguing with Rick, Kit Carson hit Venom from behind with his belt and
the rest of TOS jumped him. There was not many of TOPS left as Scott was injured
and Keats was not in any condition to help. So it looked like TOS would have
their way with Venom. However out came JPW, Solo & Chuck Murphy to help
save Venom but they were outnumbered.
Finally they grab chairs and charged the ring as TOS ran. It looks like TOS
is on their way to doing what they set out to do and that is take over TOPS.
Venom was very furious after all of this and only had one thing to say and
that was that TOS will pay for their actions very soon. We all know what he
is capable of doing and I would not want to be in TOS's shoes.
We saw that TOPS is banding together to rid TOS but we are lacking
someone to be the leader in this attack.
Let's all hope that soon someone will come to TOPS aid in this battle and
rid TOS from our lives.
