08/05/02 - First of all we would like to thank The De Leon Peach & Melon festival for having us out Saturday night. We had lots of fun and really enjoyed being there. We would like to thank all the fans who have came out and supported us these last two months on the road. We have enjoyed meeting all the new fans of TOPS.

TOS was in attendance and they were determined they were going to run rough shod over everyone, but it did not end up that way.

The show started with Scott Mustiane coming out with his partner Brian Ryder (Danger INC.) saying he was screwed last time in Mineral Wells by being teamed with Platinum Kidd but this time things are different. They said that they had come to take the TOPS Tag Team Titles back with them and that there was nothing anyone could do about it. They were interrupted by Venom & The Impact Thrillers. Venom told Danger INC. that they had left their tag belts at home because there was no way they were going to lose them. He left them by saying that tonight The Impact Thrillers would be the Unified Tag team Champions. This would be a first since the open door policy has been in affect that champions from another organization have agreed to unify their belts with a TOPS belt.

We had Shea Wright taking on his former friend and partner “Cowtown” Kevin Duncan. This was a very good match as both men know each other very well. As Shea was celebrating his victory from out of nowhere came Brett Bonz who was not even scheduled to be on the show. He began to attack Shea and told him he would see his next week in Mineral Wells and to shine the belt up real nice for him. I would not be so cocky if I were Bonz because Shea is not one to be intimidated.

Brett Bonz came back out later and demanded a match, he said he did not care who it was he would take on anyone. Out came Seth Shai who has been in contact with us about wrestling here. Seth told Brett he would be glad to take him on one on one but just as he said that out came Carson Street. He told Seth he wanted a piece of Bonz. Seth said well why don’t we make it a 3-Way? Of course Hellraiser Hark was in Brett’s corner and played a part in Bonz winning. After Brett pinned Carson Street, he & Hark began double teaming Carson. Seth was on the outside after being attacked by Hark. Finally The F’N Texan came to the aid of Carson. JPW had a match earlier with hark and lost due to Bonz’s interference so he had some payback in mind.

Next up was the TITLE vs. TITLE match between The Impact Thrillers &
Danger INC. This was a very even match as both teams had something to lose in this match. In the end, it was The Impact Thrillers who came out on top and Unified the two tag titles. The Impact Thrillers now go into The Parade of Champions holding two sets of tag belts.

We had a 6-man penalty box match, a first here in TX, in many years. This had an actual penalty box from WCCW. Keats Douglas, The Punisher & Wade Walker took on the TOS team of Kyzer Douglas, Ricky Jackson and Justin Walker. The rules were if you broke a rule you were sent to the penalty box for 1 minute. Oddly enough TOPS broke most of the rules because they were tired of TOS and wanted revenge. Fitz decided he wanted to be in the corner of his buddies in TOS; however he made a big mistake by getting himself thrown in the cage to avoid Wade Walker. Venom decided it was his chance to get his hands on Fitz so he slapped Rick Manning so he could get in the box with Fitz. Fitz had nowhere to run and Venom beat him senseless. I guess next time Fitz will think before he runs his mouth. In the end the TOPS team was victorious but TOS was not done yet as they laid Wade & Keats out with a chair and jumped The Punisher. Kyzer then took Punisher’s mask off an exposed him to be John Solo, who we saw debut in Jacksboro a few weeks ago. There is a lot more to be said about this, but no one would comment on it afterwards so we will have to wait and see what happens.

The Main Event was a Battle Royal for The Southern States Title. The F’N Texan had to survive it to retain his belt. I am not sure how this match got signed but I think The Boss may have had some input in it. In the end, thanks to the rest of TOS, Kyzer Douglas was the last one in the ring and became the new Southern States Champion.
