 That will be answered in a the coming weeks and I'm just gonna say its still touch & go because we do not want to let the game look crass and cheap so i doubt it but never say never

We are hoping for 70 + superstars
 

Will submissions be breakable?
We are trying to find a way around this, because of the new submission feature we have added we do not want to spoil this, BUT we are hoping for the wrestlers to reverse every move instead of a few like the previous smackdowns

Will Hell In A Cell pinfalls be in the ring only like real life?
No
well I think we are keeping with the pinfall out & in the ring
and about the HIAC climbing we will go in two directions for this, because as you know we had a server on a website asking you would you like the game to be arcade or simulation, at the moment smackdown is a arcade based game so if we change it to simulation then it will be slower but we might throw that optoin in but at the moment its still the same but we are looking to improve this so don't be suprised if it is and also we might slow it down because we can add different features in this match like kicking someone down or climbing side by side or one in front of the other so you kick each other off
 
Will the wrestlers bounce like a ball when they fall of HIAC/etc...
No this will be changed (no more bouncing)

Will you be able to walk around on the top of the cage?
- another thing we might change is the cage structure at the top but i doubt you will be able unless the team change there mind

Will the wrestlers stay down longer from hard blows?
 - Yes you will this game will be the most realistic wwe/wrestling game ever so expect to be down longer from suplexs from ladders, angleslams from ladders/toprope and chair shots especially when you bleed

Will the interference be better?
 - AI are alot smarter this time round so expect them breaking the pin up the least of your worrys whilst the destracting the ref or sliding chairs in the ring of other weapons.
we are aiming to make the ai so smart its like facing a friend

Will managers be able to break up pins or be banned from ringside?
 - good idea about the mangers i'll take that with me
 
Will you be able to do moves through tables standing next to them?
- Yes you will rockbottoms, lastrides, powerbombs, chokeslams, suplexs
 
How big can stables be and will there be more interference?
- stables will be 5 people and interference will depend on who you are fighting

How many people can be in the ring at once?
- still 6 at the moment but as i say this you never no

Will you be able to attack wrestlers during their entrance?
 - a featuer what is known from wwe raw on the xbox BUT we might add this in but its hard with smackdown entrances because smackdowns enterences are more technical the raws

How many attires will each wrestler have?
 - some will have three - two or just one many peolpe are asking for us to put the edit a wrestler feature but we are still not conviced everyone wants this

Will the Intercontinental, World, and Cruiserweight titles be in?
 - Intercontenatal - 50/50
- World Title - Yes
- Crusierweight - Yes

What is Goldberg's entrance like?
- Goldbergs entrence will be in but showing him from backstage is what we are working on at the moment if we can get this right then yes but the fire works and smoke breathing is in and the goldberg chants are as well so are many other chants whilst playing the game depending on who you are

Will the crowd boo for heels and cheer for faces instead of cheering for everyone?
 - Yes the crowd are gonna be amazing we are trying to make this as realsitic as possible so for instence if you are certain superstar and you cheat you will be boo - ed and other chants but if you are exciting the crowd then you will feel the electricity running through you bones because blood is almost a certainty and the rating being moved up if blood is included we will add more adult material which you will find in the wwe. - yes his attire will be in the game as an unlockable

When will the game be released?
Well good news about this at the moment because we are on schedule for a late november realese and fingers crossed we might show smackdown 5 at e3 as a suprise

What are the stables in the game now?
There will be 5 people per stable and we will start with every stable from our roster cut of which is late sepetmber

Raw will have earl hebner

Is Create-An-Animation still in?
.Not to sure if we will keep that in but at the moment it is in but it will probably be taken out

Will Scotty 2 Hotty, Mark Henry, and DDP be in?
.Scotty 2 Hotty is 50/50, Mark henry is highly doubtful DDP is not in and the apa are returning to the wwe shortly so they will be in

If Matt Hardy comes out, will Shannon Moore come out with him?
.No only if you choose him as a manager in singles other wise he will come out on his own

Is Chief Morely in?
.Yes cheif morley is in

Will Crash come out as a MFer?
.well we are not around to crash yet but we will make everything updated by the time of the realese

Are Hardcore Holly or Terri in?
.Hardcore Holly has a strong chance of not being included as for terri we are still decided to put her as a playable character or non-playable

Will it take longer to knock out an opponent?
.Harder to knock out we have a brand new engine for smackdown 5 so expect this game to be the most realistic wwe/wrestling game to date

Where will the wrestlers bleed?
.wrestlers will bleed from the face because we do not feel that wrestler bleed from there arms or there legs very often

Will title belts and brass knucks be weapons?
.title belts will be at ring side in title matches and you can use them also the brass knucks are also useable

Is Dawn Marie in?
.Dawn Marie will be in

Can you beat up announcers?
.if we decide to put them in that would be an intresting feature but will see our it goes

Will wrestlers speak subtitles?
.probably subtitles with a few voices

Will Steiner do his push-ups after a move?
.Yes steiner will do his push ups probaby as a taunt

Is Theodore Long in?
.No not at the moment we have no plans for to be in them game either

Will the side views be better?
.Yes this will be alot better then the previous smackdown

Is the casket match in?
.we might throw this back in but first of all the wwe need to use this match more often for us to do this

Will you have a big ladder?
.we don't know if we are gonna put a big ladder in but from a personal point of view I doubt this will be in but you never know!

Is Tazz playable?
.annoucer for smackdown we are having to sets of commentry this year raw - jr & king smackdown - cole & tazz

Is Lita in?
.Yes she will (probably as an unlockable)

Is X-Pac or Mr America in?
.Xpac is not on the roster but if he comes back before late september he will there are remours going around that he will return with billy gunn and join up with hbk & knash o make dx but as i said remours.
Mr america will be on hogans attire

Will the eliminated Rumble contestants run back to the entrance instead of disappearing?
.not sure at the moment i think this will stay the same for this time being but we might change it

Is Booker T in or is he retiring?
.Booker T will be in and he is not retiring (at least not for another year - rumour)

If you run into the cage will you fall down and will you/opponent bleed from repeated cage strikes/scraping?
.Yes if you run into the cage you will hit it and you can keep throwing your opponent onto the steel and scrape there face and doing in doing this they will bleed

Will Benoit's Flying Headbutt be more realistic?
.Chris beniot headbutt will look as realistic as possible

Will a powerful move be replayed on the side like in Raw 2?
.This option we are still undecided on but i'll let you know

Is Create-A-PPV going to be in?
we are still decided on this feature, because you will not beable to defend titles in exhibtion mode we think there is no point for create a ppv in BUT we might add create a belt in smackdown 5 so you can defend them in the created ppv instead!
the reason why you cannot defend your titles in exhibtion mode because the season mode is to complex and it will mess the season mode up

Is Raven in?
.Raven will not be in

Is Spanky/Brian Kendrick in?
.Yes he should be in

Will 2 vs 3 handicap be in?
.Yes 2v3 handicap will be in

Will wrestlers stay down longer after being attacked on the ground?
.We are using a brand new engine that will improve every aspect of the game including how long they will stay down for.

Will the Matrix effect be in?
.The Matrix feature might be taken out and instead of that if you press L1 whilst doing a special move it will show a reply

Will the Rolling Thunder connect with the opponent well?
.Yes it will connect as clear as crystal as i keep saying we are using a totally brand new engine

Will the submit option be changed in HIAC matches?
.we are keeping that in at the moment but you will have more control over the general match types

Will you be able to choose anyone as a guest referee?
.yes you can choose anyone now and yes it will matter if your special ref is in a stable or has a grudge aginst the opponent BUT we are trying to make the ai so smart that they will sometimes go against there stable member and start a rivalry

Will Hogan's bandana come off when he gets hit?
.this feature might be added but not at the moment

How long will it take to brak submissions?
.Depending on how much strength either you or the computer has left but if the computer fights hard and you fight back on the power meter then it could take about 30 sec max

Will there be different pictures for CAWs?
.not to sure at the moment have not came to that part of the game yukes are working on it as we speak

Will the wrestlers stick to their style like Hogan staying off the top rope?
.AI's will be smarter so think they will be programmed to the spefic strengths

Will the strenghts of the wrestlers be realistic?
.Yes people like spike would never bodypress big show but brock can pull it of quite often, rock rarely depending on there weight

Will there be special escapes to a car/limo or anything?
.no that will not be in

Will the A-Train "Shave your back" chant be in and clear?
.yes the chants will be clear and that chant might make it

Will there be top 10 contenders for belts, etc.?
.if create a belt mode is in you defend it against anyone

Can you get out of the ring in Triple Threats or Four-Ways to get weapons?
.I highly doubt that will be in.

After hearing it all now all i really want to know are these things... Will you be able to edit the real wwe stars like in No Mercy?..that way people dont have to creat a wrestler to fit the current looks or there favorite superstars...Secondly, please get some frickin new caw music...i mean the wild wild west theme...come on...who actually used the ballareina(sp) theme?...and last..to make this the very best game ever...your going to need old music...thats what everyone needs...if we have the power to creat the looks of the old timers...we also need the sound...im sure the wwe has the ability to let you use any theme you want....if that means ridding something from the game...take out the stupid creat a taunt..and the bonus vids.

Not sure, the game is still too early to say.

All the game options haven't been said yet, however I don't think this will be in. Having said that, you might be able to get weapons during Rumbles/Royals, so...

There's a thirty man Royal Rumble, I'm not sure if there will be twenty man battle royals, but I won't comment any more on that at the moment.

It will be counterable, I don't think it's from the corner though
A suggestion in this regard: I'll love it if there are two types of chin musics. The one which is currently used in SYM. For the other one, I would like to see the "SMACK" icon appearing when you're standing near a lying opponent so that Shawn walks to a corner and waits for the wrestler to get up.
I doubt they would do two new ones, so if they don't do a corner one, then...Good idea though

4. Will RVD climb the turnbuckle in his unique style?
As there will be new turnbuckle taunts, then this is possible

Yes, but you won't actually see anything like that. The new engine will let there be different stanimas for different wrestlers

I think so, but the entrances were done in a different way in JBI and SYM than they were in RAW. SDs entrances are more complex, so I'm not sure if they'll skip at all this time. Watch this space for more info.

A.they will be more life like

6. Will the gameplay be more realistic instead of like SD4 where you can execute 100 moves in just 1 min? Will they make the motions more realistic?
A.we are using a brand new engine which will make everything more realistic from rey mysterio not being able to slam the big show from the moves looking real and the AI being smarter

7. Will you also be able to customize the WWE wrestler's moves like in SD3 and SD4 because I thought that was on of the best features of the SD games.
A.Yes

8. Will the crowd be more alive with excitement and will they have the crowd's voice when you turn the music off because SD3 didn't have it and SD4 had it but it sometimes stopped for 15 secs so there was 15 secs of silence.
A.Yes the crowd will be amazing it will feel like your actually there in the match

1. are you going to have all the ppv arenas between Summerslam 02 - Vengeance 03?
A.if we decide to release the game in december then we will have all the ppv up to date up to november but if we release the game in january then all arenas will be up to date

2. will the Bra & Panties matches be playable or will it just be a cutscene?(please make it to be a real match)
Instead of going for a pin when you press down and circle you could strip the oppenent from top to bottem, where ever you are located next to the oppenent either UPPER or LOWER part of the body.

3. will there be a womens locker room for the divas backstage so if you are playing as a diva you can go into your locker room?
A.something like that will be in if you are a diva, but we are hoping to add a smackdown locker room and raw locker room to save time but its more likley we are gonna have one locker for the wresters

4. will there be seperate locker rooms for rock, triple h or even whoever the world champion is at the time?
A.no, but we have spoken about that and it might change but at the moment no

5. you know when you start season, you are asked what attire to choose in SYM.
Backstage, you should be able to go in your locker room and you could change attires by picking the one you want?

A.50/50 we are not sure whether to add him to the roster. Maybe a non-playable character

A.Well there's an exciting thing about this, because we are using real wwe storylines, and also for the first time in a wwe game, the official wwe writing team are writing stories for the game. This means you will be in stories that you know, and don't know, so there's a mixture. Because of this, the season is planned for 2 years, but we might be able to stretch it to 3 years

3. Is Goldberg defnietly in the game?
A.Yes

4. In season mode will there be trailors to say who's comin to the WWE e.g Goldberg, Sting?
A.Goldberg yes, but sting is just going to be a suprise appearance

A.This is a possibility

A.Backlash 03, but you will see past storylines in there

Yes and yes

1) Are we able to edit the in game character's apperance or will it just be their moves?
I have heard it's doubtfull. Like a post before, the SD wrestler models are created in a different way to the ones in say, No-Mercy. Therefore it makes it harder to add this to the SD series. It hasn't been ruled out yet though.

2) How fast will you be able to climb the HIAC, cage, or ladder? Because it was too fast.
It has been slowed down

3) Can you have custom managers come out with you at the same time as a wrestler? Like have tanaki come out with HHH?
They will accompany the wrestler down to the ring, e.g Triple H w/ Ric Flair

4) Can you call out help for you in the match? Like have someone run out during a match to help you?
There is a possiblity of this

5)Alternate costumes for CAWS? Or in-game wrestlers?
Both (CAWs seem likely, but still needs 100% confirmation)

6) If you fall from the top of the HIAC, will you actually stay down this time? Not bounce back up and climb the cage like spiderman?
You will stay down (and NO bouncing!)

I'm not 100% sure to be honest, but it's very likely that it is

If CAB makes it in, then yes

Shannon Moore,Nunzio,Stamboli and Chuck yes, Crash will if he stays as an MFer on T.V. Funaki might be removed

4.What for Attires will have austin.
His normal street attire, like he wears every week on RAW, and most likely his wrestling attire

5.Will all the PPV arenas from the year 2003?
If the game is finished and released in November/December, then all the PPVs up to Unforgiven/No Mercy will make it in, otherwise if the game is released in Jan 04, then the 2003 Survivor Series PPV arena will make it in as well

I was just wondering if you knew anything about future Smackdowns? I read a pretty good idea about it using the PS2 headset so you could speak in the wrestler's voices and stuff in the wrestling games...What do you think?
Sorry I have no idea about future SD!s. Sounds pretty good, so you never know, maybe with the PS3
 

1. can you give your enemy in the ring a Injury? can you when know due for a match such as (Tag or 6-man Tag) in season be able to go backstage Injury one of the opposing team and there by making it a 1 vs Tag or 2 vs 3-tag Match (Like what had happened at Wrestlemania XIX when Nathan Jones was taken out and Undertaker had to verse A-Train & Bigshow? and will you able as Human Player should have the chance to have another partner if this happens to to your Tag partner?
You can injure your opponents, however I'm not sure to what extent yet.

Is there any plays for this game or in future where can be either General manager and be setup matchs that we would like to see and make unfair match against wrestler's you don't like (BIG SHOW) who annoy you and form of Create-A-PPV but in season mode where you championship matches for your Brand?
Not in this game

2. Say that your A Raw Brand superstar eg. Goldberg or Triple H will be able to Show on Smackdown! even though don't have a match and Interfere with its main event eg. Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle and Cost Brock his Belt or Injury the opposition main man?
Unlikely, unless a 'Invasion' type story is to be used

3. Will there be 2 General mangers offices?
1 on RAW, 1 on SD!

4. will there more match option normal singles match like (Blood On / Ref Off)? Will there still be 2 refs? can you should colour shirts if at a PPV / Raw or Smackdown! ?
Different coloured shirts for refs is in. You can't turn the ref off, you can turn blood off

5. Finally will Triple H and Shawn Michaels have (DX shirt & nWo Shirt for HBK and Entrance Videos for these factions)in their attire. because I know it was a setup but it would be good see these factions back together (DX vs nWo)?
Very unlikely

1. each move will be again animated? Thus none smackdown 1 and 2 animations more
A lot of moves are being re-animated

2. Does it give for everyone more finisher counter move or is it as with sym with most simply only into the stomach is stepped?
If I've understood that correctly, then it is being worked on for all specials to have there own counter

3. Does Goldberg have complett newly animated moves or more jackhammer and spear out sym???
His own re-animated ones

4. How do the doubles team function specials?
Not 100% sure, but I think it's like SYM, but instead of you pressing 'O' (while your partner is holding the opponent) you would press 'L1'

Sorry, not sure yet. The arena will be bigger, but I don't know about the entrance way ramp/walkway

Not sure yet, season mode is still being heavily worked on

I'm not really sure yet, however I do know that one shot of the sledgehammer will bust you open, and knock you out

7.Can you get in the hardcore match weapons under the ring too or do you only get the ones that are in the ring?
From under the ring as well

8.What will be new in the CAW-mode be like or is it the same as the one in sym?
New and improved, that's all I can give you at the moment

9.How does the bra-and panties match work?
To be honest I don't know yet. There is a possibilty of having to press the pin button on your opponent when they are down, this will allow you to take off your opponents clothes (not confirmed however)
