Police Commissioner Winston Felix said last night that he had not received an official report on the case, However, Deputy Police Commissioner, Crime Chief Henry Greene said the police have received an official report and an investigation into the alleged gang rape is underway. Kaieteur News has learnt that the teen claimed that the sexual abuse began in mid-August 2004, when two female officers in whose care she had been placed were away from the institution for two weeks. She claimed that she was taken to an office at the NOC, where a male officer forced her to have sex, after threatening to “bore” and “kill” her if she resisted. She claimed that the same officer continued to subject her to various sexual acts during the two weeks that the female officers were away. The teen is said to have claimed that even after the two female officers returned, the male officer would sexually abuse her, whenever she had to go to the office. But according to the sources, the teen claimed that another male officer also joined in the sexual torment. This allegedly occurred between August 2004 and February 2005, with the first attack reportedly occurring in the man's office, after a female officer had reportedly sent her there. Kaieteur News also understands that the teen claimed that in January 2005, both men and a third male officer, raped her in an office. The teen reportedly stated that she never complained to senior officials, because she did not know whom to turn to. She said that after being discharged from the NOC this year, she eventually revealed her torment.
