Rating: 9.6

The first double brand show on PPV, Summer Sonic was live from Miami in a jam packed American Airlines Arena. The show started with the SIW Women’s Championship on the line between Regina Todd and Xtina. Regina leveled the champ with a Fallaway Slam but it wasn’t enough to get a pin fall. As the match continued back and forth, H-Bomb came out and announced that she was in early labour and that Jenna might be born pre-mature. As Regina turned to H-Bomb, Xtina drop kicked her in the corner and leveled her with the Godie Kick and pinned her to retain the championship. As paramedics put H-Bomb on a stretcher, in a despicable act Xtina jumped off the apron and nailed H with a leg drop. Security rushed out to hold her back from further attacks.

The SIW North American Champion ”Red Hot” Rikki Cook came out and held a birthday party. He said that this years birthday was going to be the best one yet because Summer Sonic was the night he became the SIW Heavyweight Champion. He was interrupted by Carnage GM Titan who told him that he didn’t stand a chance at winning as long as he was breathing. As they got in a stare down, SIW Co-Owner Kim Derickson came out and told Titan that if he interfered in the match he would get fired on the spot. Titan went to slap her, Rikki left the ring and out of nowhere, Trevor Derickson made his return. Trevor slid in the ring and looked at Titan and then they both looked at Kim. Trevor shocked the world when he ordered Titan to chokeslam his wife in the middle of the ring.

After a video promo for TNC Global Warning, The Wildside teamed up with the SIW Tag Team Champions The Beastiary as they took on I-4. The SIW World Tag Team champ Cefalo attacked Asmodeus before the bell rang and all hell broke loose in the cross brand match. Isabella and Gabriella pulled old man Andrew off the apron and nailed him with a double closeline. The ref got knocked down late in the match and Russel threw in the ring bell. Willy went to hit Dark Tiger in the face but he moved out of the way and delivered the Darkness Falls. He went for the pin but Cefalo saved him by pulling him out of the ring. The match ended when Asmodeus excuted the Lion Spike and pinned Andrew Seaman to get the win for his team.

Former UWWE owner Duane Doogan came to the ring accompanied by Darren Moore, ABA and “Incredible” Ian Bishop. They said what they did to Mysery on the Super Show was nothing compared to what they had planned for the rest of the SIW. They said starting at Summer Sonic the UWWE’s Mayhem was taking over and it was as simple as that. Bishop said he was destined to be the first competitor to pin Call for his SIW European Championship and it was going to happen on PPV.

Former SIWA Heavyweight Champions and Academy graduates Zach Blain and James Muret competed in a phenomenal match Summer Sonic. Blain worked on his opponents knee but Muret didn’t stay down for long. Blain locked in a figure four leg lock only to get reversed by Muret. Blain climbed up the top rope and before he knew it, Muret jumped up and executed a super plex. Muret got the huge win after delivering a Flatliner and getting a pin fall. At the end of the match, both competitors shook hands and both received a standing ovation. The SIW has high expectations for these two superstars.

The SIW Champion Angel arrived at the arena accompanied by his girlfriend Jessie. Christina York from Carnage was honored to interview MNB’s champion, Angel was in a good mood and guaranteed victory over evil at Summer’s hottest event. As Angel signed autographs for some fans, the fans went wild when the A.O.A Glenn Kirby walked around the corner. They looked at each other and Kirby extended his hand and wished him good luck against Primetime and that he had his back. Angel accepted the hand shake and headed to his locker room with Jessie.

Former three time SIW Champion Matt Uzi took on former ultimate fighter and former SIW Extreme Champion Pitbull in a rematch from the Heavyweight title tournament. Pitbull whipped Uzi around the ring and leveled him with several belly to backs and belly to belly suplexes. Pitbull locked in a boston crab but Uzi reached the ropes to break the hold. Senior referee Sam Carter got knocked down after Uzi executed the Uzi-Plex and that’s when Matt nailed Pitbull with a low blow and pulled out a barbed wire steel chair from under the ring. Uzi split Pitbull open with a shot to his face and blood filled the ring. As the ref started to get up, Matt nailed Pitbull with the Uzi Piledriver and pinned him to get the cheap win.

Footage and results were shown from the super show the night before in Sunrise, Florida. SIW Heavyweight Champion James Airington twisted his ankle during the 6 man tag match and was reported at not being at full capacity for his triple threat match in the double main event.

After promos for Monday Night Brawl and Thursday Carnage brands, Jack Kent interviewed the current SIW Hardcore Champion Grunge. He claimed that he was the toughest son of a bitch in the SIW and that no one could stop him. Out of nowhere, UWWE members Doogan, Moore and ABA attack him and beat him down. They walked out to ringside and started a fight with former SIW star Davyd North in the front row. Doogan pushed him off his chair and then wrapped a electrical wires around his throat. Moore help his arms back while ABA smashed the ring bell in his forehead. Security rushed in and escorted UWWE out of the building.

Angelica Hunt met up with Liana backstage, she made a comment that for the best women's champion of all time she had a really bad losing streak since her return. Liana snapped and punched her in the mouth and then threw her into a garbage can. Officials had to break up the vicious cat fight.

”Incredible” Ian Bishop was clearly the underdog in his match against Khristian Call for the SIW European Championship especially since his crew got booted out of the arena. Bishop may do things we don’t agree with but at Summer Sonic he proved that he wasn’t no push over. Both competitors gave it everything they had in a memorable back and forth half hour match. Call went for his finisher but Bishop countered it into a back body drop and surprised Call when he managed to deliver the Cyclone and got a pin fall for an upset win to regain the SIW European Championship.

Before the TNC main event, Ragin’ Craig talked about how he came so close to becoming the #1 contender for the SIW North American Championship last Carnage. He mentioned that his life was much better without Jill and he’s never been happier especially since he knows he will get another shot at the championship next Carnage. The camera moved and it showed he had his arm around the #1 contender for the SIW Women’s Championship, Shelly The Bod. She said that the winner of the match on MNB will have to face her and she hopes it’s Xtina cause she’s fed up with her crap in SIW and NAWWA.

The SIW North American Champion Rikki Cook took on Gavin Payne and James Airington in a triple threat match for the SIW Heavyweight Championship. Airington’s ankle was in bad shape at the beginning of the match and was even worse after Payne clipped his knee and hooked in the ankle lock submission. Cook leveled Payne with a running bulldog to break the hold and then hit him with a closeline out of the ring. Cook almost had the match won when he tried to pin James but the champion managed to kick out somehow. James was in bad condition after Cook nailed him with a drop toe hold and a kick to his ankle. As Gavin climbed back on the apron, Cook nailed him with a Missile Dropkick sending him crashing into the Spanish table. The crowd started booing and throwing debris when Titan made his way to ringside and threw Gavin back in the ring. As the ref checked on James, Rikki nailed Gavin with the High Temparature but Titan climbed in the ring and hit Rikki with a big boot and a Running Tombstone and put Gavin over him to get the win by pin fall and let him become the new SIW Heavyweight Champion.

Angel and Primetime closed the show with a historic match for the SIW Championship. Angel had the match almost won after hitting Primetime with the Atonement Spear but Bernardo interefered to break the count. Angel got the referee to expel Bernardo from the match and Primetime took offense and attacked the champ from behind. Near the end of the match, Johnson executed a Spinning Spinebuster and then went to the top rope. As he jumped off, Angel caught him by his legs and locked in the Judgement Sharpshooter. The ref got hit by Primetime’s boot as he jumped off and was dazed for a few minutes. Then the unexpected happen, from the crowd, David Von Ramrock jumped in the ring and leveled Angel with The Rammer. Primetime barely found the strength to put him arm over Angel to get the win to become the new SIW Champion.
