Writing On The Wall

She scratches a letter into a wall made of stone.
Maybe someday another child won't feel as alone as she does.
It's been two years and counting since they put her in this place.
She's been diagnosed by some stupid fuck and mommy agrees. Yeah.

Yeah, they finally figured I'd snapped when I cut her into pieces small enough to fit in my car's ashtray. If they had listened to me, I wouldn't have killed her. If only Mom had listened. But then, she never listened to me.

Why go home? Why go home? Why go home?

"Do you want to go home, Shane?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Why go?"

She seems to be stronger but what they want her to be is weak.
She could play pretend, she could join the game, boy.
She could be another clone.

They really wanted me to be insane. That's why the plea so I didn't go to jail. I would have rather gone to jail because I know I meant to do it. I told them all I was going to do it and why. I was tired of being just like her, just like him.

"Did you mean to do it, Shane?"

"I sure did."

"Why?"

"Why not?"

Why go home? Why go home?
Why go home? Why go home?

They keep saying Stephy can go home, but she won't. I think she likes being here, safe away from him. She's knows he can't hurt her here. Not sure if she realizes why we're here, but I can't blame her for not going.

What you taught me put me here.
Don't come visit- Mother, sing me.

He comes to visit us once every two months and visits that cunt's grave every two days, and still they want to know why we refuse to see him.

"Why did you kill her, Shane?"

"She was just like Dad."

"Why didn't you kill him, then?"

"I was about to."

Why go home? Why go home?
Why go home? Why go home?
What you taught me put me here.
Don't come visit.

"Would you kill him if you had the chance?"

"Yup."

"How?"

"I'd tell Stephy to go home."

Father, mother. Why go home?
