Interview with Shooter Andrews 10/24/04

Q: We're now 2 shows into Pro-Wrestling RAGE at the Oxygen nightclub...how do you feel things are going right now?

A: Well personally for me things are going great and as for the group it’s really awesome that we finally have a stable place that we can call home

Q: You’re one half of the tag team champions with your brother Ryan Storm, titles you've held since Nov. 8th, 2003 but have recently been involved in a war against V.I.P. Take me through the title defense on the first show.

A: The first show....that was a tough match. The atmosphere was nuts because it was RAGE's first show in quite a while and i could tell right at the beginning of the match that both teams were going in lookin for a win. I believe that V.I.P. had a slight advantage in the fact that they had Pat Jennings in their corner. But myself and Ryan just never gave up and we capitalized on the first mistake that VIP made and we went from there. The crowd was behind us the whole night and when you have a whole crowd behind you, it's the best feeling in the world. We escaped with the titles but as far as I'm concerned this feud is far from over.

Q: Far from over is very true. At the last show there were stipulations made that if either Geiger or College scored a win over you or Storm they'd receive another tag title shot at the Halloween show. What happened?

A: Well it's quite obvious what happened, they had to cheat to win. Ryan and College had an unimaginable 30 minute time limit draw just minutes before mine and Geiger's match, so VIP was at the end of the line. For them it was either win or go home. I had a bad feeling going into that match knowing that Geiger would do anything to get his team that tag title shot. Once again PJ was involved and because of him and some help form College, Geiger pinned me and VIP now gets myself and Storm in a rematch at Horror Stories

Q: What’s your game plan for your rematch against V.I.P knowing they out number you 3 to 2 and are willing to do anything to win?

A: Well its kind of hard to think of a game plan when they have a third man on the outside of the ring who has been known to strike at any given chance. I think that we are just gonna go out to that ring and give it our all and hope that PJ doesn’t get involved. If he does though don't be surprised if he gets what he deserves.

Q: I'd like to get personal now. Does it bother you that your one of RAGE's top talents and yet you'll always be Ryan Storm's little brother?

A: I'm not gonna start bad mouthing my own brother. Sure, I may be considered Ryan Storm's little brother but he and I both know that in the ring WE are the tag team champions, WE won the tag titles not just him or not just me, it’s WE. People can call me what they want as long as I'm part of the best tag team in RAGE, people will know who I am.

Q: So there's absolutely no jealousy or bitterness towards your brother?

A: Not at all. We have solved all of our differences. It may have taken a few brutal battles but we solved them and the hatred is gone.

Q: Do you have any intentions of branching out of the tag team division to take another run towards the Grand Slam championship?

A: Well the way that I look at it is if myself and Storm can keep these tag titles then why bother with the Grand Slam title. But if for some reason this tag team doesn't work out then, yeah, I would go for the Grand Slam title, I mean, honestly, who wouldn't want to be the Grand Slam Champion of RAGE. Right now though, my main focus is VIP and retaining those tag titles.

Q: What is Shooter's Move and where did the name come from?

A: Shooter's move is the move that i have used to win many, if not all my matches in RAGE. It is basically a combination of Venom's Strike and Kevin Tyler's Ace Crusher. The name, well honestly.... I have no clue where it came from someone just called it that and i guess it just stuck

Word association time. I give you a name and you answer with a word or short sentence.

Cool. Go ahead.

Pro-Wrestling RAGE - One of the best things that I have ever been a part of and hopefully will last for a while.

Mr. Happy - One of, if not, the most popular wrestler in RAGE right now.

Venom - To tell you the truth, he kinda scares me. I've wrestled him many times and every time I come out of it in more and more pain. Mr. Happy better be prepared.

Kevin Tyler - A great technical mat wrestler. Possibly the best in RAGE.

Chris Cole - He is a really good wrestler who just needs to pay attention to the match and pay less attention to the fans.

Mikey Sixx - Great wrestler who made a huge comeback from knee surgery. He could be a huge part of RAGE's popularity growth.

Geiger - A man who I grew up with. Since joining VIP he has changed, he could be one of RAGE's breakout stars as long as he doesn't let Joe College or Pat Jennings hold him back.

Ryan Storm - One of the most agile wrestlers I've ever seen. I'm glad that I'm finally with him and not against him.

Patrick Jennings - A thorn in my side lately.Great on the mic, but if he continues to run his mouth he's not gonna be able to talk.

Joe College - I don't like the guy but I respect him. He is great talent and it's a shame that he is letting Pat Jennings run his career.

Harvey Metal - If he were to put more heart into it, the sky's the limit for him.

Chanman - Another one who scares me. I've never faced him in one on one competition and I don't know if I want to. The only thing holding him back is his alliance with Venom.

Shooter Andrews - My opinion of myself is that I am young and still have a lot of things to learn.

Thank you for your time Shooter Andrews and good luck in your tag title defense on Halloween. Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Thank you.
