![]() DATELINE FLASH! - (TWW) In a move that has stunned the wrestling world, the entire computer system here at The Whirl encountered a catastrophic crash on the evening of Thursday, June 20, and has only just today been restored. The Whirl is proud to have brought you this news before anyone else. The Whirl is also proud to boast of its new computer system, with 192 MB of RAM, a CD burner, two hard-drives, one of which is the hard drive from our old computer system, providing us with over 50 GB of storage space, a 1.4 GHz Celeron processor, and this swifty "Windows XP" operating system. Sweet. Of course, we would be remiss were we not to address the problem that got us here in the first place. Our old computer system took a catastrophic turn for the worse and without warning became a pile of electronic junk. While this could have occurred for any of a number of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that the motherboard on the computer was approaching its twelfth birthday, and had been acting quite odd for nearly a year now, We at The Whirl prefer a simpler explanation: saboutage. Our staff is split, however, on just who to blame for this act of wanton vandalism. Some think that it may have been the staff from a rival wrestling news source, fearful of the unstoppable juggernaut which is The Whirl. Other staffers have a different view. "You all had better agree with me that this is undoubtedly the work of that no-good Terror! You all had better agree with me that we need to lay this at his doorstep and take him to task! There's no way anyone can argue with me that this is Terror's doing, and that it's probably a part of him trying to make us all think that The Cult, which I've already told you all that he's running, is out to get us! We will not be moved!" Further adding credence to this opinion is a report that has surfaced recently that the catastrophic crash took place while a staffer was in contact with The Terror via a messaging program on our computer system. Apparently, just as a representative of the PWL also came online, the computer made its mysterious exit. "It shows that Terror, who is running that Cult, who wanted to make something of himself in the PWL, is scared of the PWL and Timouthey! It couldn't be clearer! I know you all agree with me, right? I'm not joking around here!" Terror was, of course, unavailable for comment. |
