The Undefeatable Chris JerichoTHE UNDEFEATABLE CHRIS JERICHO
Extreme Champion
Oct. 5, 2005 - Oct. 19, 2005

After what some would call the theft of the Extreme title from The Undefeatable Chris Jericho, it didn't take long for him to get back into the thick of things. A week after the loss of his title, he defeated Matt Hardy in a singles bout amidst interference, and declared his intentions to reclaim "sexy number seven." During all of this, the PWF and VCW held their draft, and Christian made it clear that he did not want to be in the PWF. However, Bischoff still drafted him and put him into the Extreme Championship match at Road To Perdition, where Christian said he was going to punish the others for Bischoff's mistake.

When the match took place, he certainly did, as it came down to Jericho and Christian (Jericho eliminated Hardy) in a wild and bloody brawl. Both men actually went through a table, but the match was restarted since both hit at the same time. In the end, Jericho managed to drive Christian through a table with a Perfectsault, and, once again, seven was the new six for The Undefeatable Chris Jericho.
