CarlitoCARLITO
Television Champion
Aug. 31, 2005 - Sept. 7, 2005

On the Jul. 21 edition of Thursday Thrillzone, Carlito would have Rob Van Dam as his guest on Carlito's Cabana. Carlito would insist that Van Dam's reign as Television Champion was "fraudulent," pointing to RVD's defeat in the Recoil main event at the hands of Mr. Perfect as the point at which he should've lost his title. After Van Dam stated that he didn't think The Undefeatable Chris Jericho was very "cool," Carlito demanded RVD leave the Cabana immediately. As RVD turned to leave, Carlito viciously assaulted the Television Champion from behind, paving the way for a relentless Kurt Angle to hit the ring and lay waste to Van Dam, as well.

At La Mala Sombra on Aug. 3, Carlito would face RVD and get his chance to become Television Champion, but was defeated despite outside interference in his favor by a debuting Matt Hardy. Carlito was hardly finished, though, and after a continuing battle, he and Van Dam were slated to go at it once again four weeks later on Wargames. In Long Island, N.Y., Carlito would use every illegal tactic in the book to finally defeat RVD, ending the Whole F'n Show's near four-month reign as the Professional Wrestling Federation's Television Champion.
