Mr. Bischoff decided to sign a six-team, six-corner, elimination-style Hexagon match to determine the Federation's first Tag Team Champions at the PWF's debut to pay-per-view, No Escape. The two most impressive teams, by far, were Team SEC's Masked Men and the Robbinsdale Mafia of Mr. Perfect and a returning Ravishing Rick Rude, who -- during his previous years in the Perfect Team -- had only held a managerial role.

After four teams were eliminated, it would come down to these four men. Finally, after an amazing show of tag team excellence by both sides, Rude showed he was simply a manager no longer, as he was able to land a Rude Awakening on Masked Man 2 to pick up the win and the championships for the Mafia while Perfect kept Masked Man 1 from breaking up the fall. It seemed, though, that a rematch was simply inevitable.
