Mere days after Taz won the SCW World Championship from Excellence in controversial fashion, Johnny Asterix -- Taz's partner in crime in the SCW -- decided to take an extra step to make Taz the single most dominant force in wrestling, and declared him to be the NOWF World Champion, as well. However, this claim was not undisputed as Bret Hart never lost the title, and NOWF chairman Buck Norman continued to recognize him as champion.
