Raven had often received shots at the NOWF World Championship, even in his very first match, but he had never managed to break through the glass ceiling created by what he called "The Monopoly." On this night, interference was not a factor, as Taz, Greg Mills, and SCW superstars Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude, the Robbinsdale Mafia, balanced each others' presence at ringside, each preventing the others from getting involved. Raven scored the victory, but it was a tainted one as his feet were on the ropes during the pinfall.
