Background: Gary Prentice Shaw is a "one of a kind" in the Sports-Entertainment World. While most men make a career "in the ring" first and then move onto Sports-Entertainment Executive positions later on in life, Shaw has done it the opposite.

Following his Father's tradjec death, a 22-year old Gary Prentice Shaw stepped into the CEO/President position of the east coast based "Xtreme Pain Wrestling Alliance". Shaw tasted more than success in his first years as XPW CEO. With the help of family freind and former UWA Vice President Donnie Dawson, Shaw "raised the bar" and watched as the XPW notariaty and profits near doubled.

After a solid 2 years in the Front Office, Shaw began training in the ring and preparing to chase his dream of actually competing in the "squared-circle". In the Spring of 2000, Shaw debuted his Wrestling career in his very own Wrestling Promotion. His success in the ring was just a sweet if not sweeter, than his success in the XPA Chairman spot.

In December of 2000, UWA VP Donnie Dawson brought Shaw over to the UWA and into the National spotlight. Shaw wrestled under the alias "Shane Outlaw" and teamed up with UWA stars: Michael Edwards, Johnny Ringo, and Mike Furious. Together, "The Legend Killers" dominated the UWA for several strait months. In that time, Shaw had impressive victories over key UWA talent and competed in one of the UWA's greatest matches of all time when he and X-Kalibur faught to a draw at the "International Incident" pay per view.

Shaw's UWA stay only lasted for about 4 months. A small decline in the buisness of the XPWA forced him to leave the UWA ring and return to the Front Office. From that time, Shaw spent all of his "in the ring" and "out of the ring" time in the XPWA.

Just this past June, Gary Prentice Shaw sold ths Xtreme Pain Wrestling Alliance for an indy-based record $28 million. After a long vacation in the Carribean, Shaw made the choice to return to the ring and do so on the National level. After receiving word of the decline in the UWA, Shaw made it a point to contact TNT Wrestling Chairman Kent Strong about a possible entry into the TNT Promotion. Strong arranged to meet with Shaw and just one week later, the two shook hands over a deal that would put "G.P.S" into a TNT ring for a long time.
