Career Highlights

This is Nightmare totally out of character, reflecting on his career highlights. The list is not in any particular order. Just as they come to mind.

FIRST MATCH:

I think that one of the first things I remember in my career is stepping into a wrestling ring for the first time. It was against Rick Steiner in OHY. It was by no means a "classic" but it was a very physical encounter that I won with the Scorpion Deathlock.

FIRST TITLE WIN:

My first title win will always be a highlight of mine. It was the OHY 6 Man Tag Team title and I was lumped into a team with Kane and Raven. We were in the starting stages of forming a stable but the OHY closed weeks later.

THE SWF HORSEMEN:

This so far has been the highlight of my career I look on as the proudest of my career. It was over a period of almost a half a year and I was taking this stable apart piece by piece. I wish I had the rights to the footage of the World title match between Ric Flair and Myself for it was one of the most bloodiest, hard hitting, exciting and best worked matches I have ever had the benefit of being in.It was at the biggest event on the SWF calender, their "Wrestlemania" I guess. over 80,000 people crammed into the seats to watch the legendary "Nature Boy" take on a masked man that seemed unstoppable after surviving the "Horsemen's Guantlet" match I endured three days before the pay per view. I think it was the first and last time I ever went into a match as a true "Fan favorite" against the evil stable. I usually tried to play it as someone inbetween who could foil against against the good and the bad. The Hell In The Cell was my stage and the world title was my reward, and freeing the SWF from the reign of The Horsemen was the end result.

LEE BLADES:

Lee and I only worked together for a brief amount of time before we went our seperate ways after the closure of the CWF. We had a good chemistry and had the uncanny knack of being able to help better define each other's characters in our promos. Our feud for the X-Treme title, I think, was the highpoint in the brief life of the CWF. Our pasts we brought out, and used which heightened the intensity of our feud. I honestly enjoyed the times I worked with Lee because I knew he would do a great promo for me to react to.

LOSING THE MASK:

I always worked under some veil since I have been wrestling, but I have to say that losing the mask was the right thing to do. The make-up allows me to use facial expressions and as I paint it is pretty much an extension of how I feel that particular day. It's also easier to breathe as well. It was hard to get used to at first but the make-up allows me to have more fun and be more creative.

MY WWWCW CAREER

This organization is the closest I came to finding one that was run as well as the SWF. Winning the North American Championship has just added icing to the cake. I am currently establishing myself as a solid performer and champion who is derserving of the title reign. The Maltby's are doing fantastic job and the WWWCW is definately making it's mark in the world of e-fed wrestling. Currently I would have to say the biggest feud I have currently in WWWCW is with Zen, who I defeated for the North American title and just lost the title to at the Carnage Pay Per View.

CWA CANADIAN TITLE WIN:

It's not so much the fact I won the title even with 3 on 1 interference at times in this match, or the fact that it included barb wire ropes but the reason I list this title win is that it happened in Calgary, Alberta the day after Owen Hart's tragic death. Winning with the Sharpshooter cinched in on Chief Thunder, I broke down and cried as I dedicated the win to Owen.

SWF HORSEMEN GUANTLET MATCH

I listed this seperate from the other Horsemen segment because this to me was when I evolved to who I am today. I wanted Flair and the world title at the SWF's big pay per view. The Horsemen stood in my way, so Flair said I would have to beat Billy Gunn, Buff Bagwell, Sid Viscious and then himself in four different types of matches just to get the chance to face him. I agreed on the terms that if I beat him in the guantlet, our title match would be a Hell In A Cell. I dispatched of Buff in an I quit match, winning with the Scorpion Deathlock. Gunn and I wrestled in a strap match and after 12 minutes, I was able to secure the victory. Sid was up next in a hardcore match, and he pulled out all the stops. Chairs, ladders, pieces of the stage, guard rails, Sid seemed to have more weapons than I could count. After 20 minutes I pulled out the win and got set to face Flair. I was hurting bad, bleeding, bruised but I still went to the ring. I was then jumped by the whole stable of Horsemen which caused the ref to call for the DQ. Which means I beat Flair. He definately was not thinking about that.

THE TEMPEST

This guy has been first class ever since we first stepped foot in the ring. He defeated me the only time we fought and for a short time, we formed a tag team called Dark Haven, but he thought that the team was not up to par with the Pornstarrs and Cali Connection so he dissolved it. We were not having too much success and had single goals as well, so a team at the time was just not working as well as it could have. I hated to see it go, but his character is no longer infatuated with Darkness, but he is rising through the ranks a definate world champ someday soon. Tempest is a great ring technician and psychologist.

DARKNESS VS. DARKNESS

This one moment in WWWCW would have been one of the greatest events in my career , if WWWCW would not have closed it doors the day of the event. I was handpicked by Markus Maltby to face the WWWCW World champion known as The Gravedigger. Digger was a 3WCW Hall Of Famer who seemed to have stagnated in his latest title reign, so Markus threw me in the mix to try to shake things up. I feel I did my best promo work in building this match and crushed when the title match did not take place.

WWWCW Tag Team Title Win

I was a part of a stable in 3WCW with Tempest, The Judge and Lazareus. With Tempest and Laz seeking singles gold, Judge and I figured we'd might as well hook up and chase Cali Connection for the tag straps. Jose Ruiz and El Loco Gato are the greatest tag team I ever saw work in any federation. These guys had it all, and would tell anyone within earshot that too. At the time they looked unbeatable, and with my recent victory over Jose in a scaffold match, it seemed destined for us to win.
