Shoot Interview with Jon Miller
by John Lynch
The following is my interview with the owner of Next Generation Wrestling Jon Miller...
NGW Online: Hello Commissioner Jon Miller, How are you doing today? Commissioner Jon Miller: Pretty Good. NGWO: What were your thoughts going into SnoBrawl? JM: I suppose I was a little skeptical about the Hypothermia thing and how the wrestlers would hold up in the weather. I was also concerned with the spectators having to brave the cold throughout the show. NGWO: How about after SnoBrawl? JM: After SnoBrawl all I could think about was how well the guys had wrestled. I can honestly say this was the best show we’ve done so far and hopefully I can say that again, many more times. NGWO: In your mind what was the best match there? JM: Of course the Hypothermia Match was a sight to see, however Paul Regal really stepped up in his street fight with Hardbody. Also, seeing the Redneck finally win a title was exciting. NGWO: What do you think about Evan Blaze and The Rednecks comment that Paul Regal v. Hardbody Hibbert was one of the top 5 matches in NGW history? JM: Well, I certainly respect their judgment. It was a good match especially as far as Street Fights go. NGWO: Redneck is the First ever NGW US Champion, Do you feel that the right man won? JM: Absolutely! I don’t think any other wrestler has as much American Pride as the Redneck. He certainly deserves championship gold. NGWO: What are your expectations for NGW Revolution on March 13, 2004? JM: I hope to make shows that are progressively better than the last. I’d like to see even greater fan turnout, and I want to make videos that are available to the public through our website. NGWO: Where do you see NGW the end of 2004? JM: I don’t plan too far into the future because I’ve been thrown a lot of curve balls in my life. I’m expecting to do more frequent shows and upgrade our facility. NGWO: SnoBrawl also had a record breaking crowd for NGW right? JM: Yes, we had our biggest crowd turnout in the history of the NGW. Hopefully we can continue to gather a fan base and have a larger crowd at each show. NGWO: After falling through the ropes and breaking the top rope in the first match at SnoBrawl, Thor suffered from pain in his back. Have you spoken to him? Will he be back in action on February 14 which is our next show? JM: Thor suffered no serious injury from falling out of the ring and he is ready to wrestle as we speak. NGWO: Is there anything that you think needs to be changed in NGW? JM: Not at this time. I think NGW is progressing at a steady pace. I’m very satisfied with what we’ve accomplished. NGWO: What match would you most like to see this year? JM: I’m looking forward to doing a Royal Rumble type match in the near future. I’d also like to see NGW’s roster expand. We’re always looking for people who are interested in wrestling. NGWO: This has been an insightful interview. Thank you very much for taking the time to talk with me and we will continue this in the near future. JM: No problem. Thank you. |
