Raw Rant for March 18th, 2002

Coming off a very good and enjoyable Wrestlemania we're ready to kick it off live!
Hollywood Hogan comes out to a huge ovation. I don't know I smell a swerve here. JR compared last nights match to Babe Ruth vs Barry Bonds, can we even compare? Hogan is getting a huge response from the crowd. Ok the Rock is getting booed but the crowd, I didn't know he turned heel! If the Rock says "Finally" one more time......Hogan rips his NWO shirt off and out come Hall and Nash. Wow Nash is pissed! He is mad because the NWO's first target was Austin but Hogan's ego wanted to take out the Rock. Nash is fat! Nash says it isn't about the people, and Rock adds some comic relief by calling him Big Daddy Bitch and challenges Hall and Nash to a match against him and Hogan. Maybe the Rock will join the NWO. Wow a 25 minute opening segment! WOW!!!!
RVD vs Christian
Jump heel kick off the second turnbuckle by RVD. Should thrusts to a back flip that serves no purpose but Christian nails a boot to RVD's face. RVD is on the outside of the ring now but Christian throws him back in and RVD hits a spin heel kick and a monkey flip. Leg sweep followed by Rolling Thunder. Christian tries to leave with the IC title but Page sneaks up from behind and throws Christian back in. Stepover heel kick by RVD followed by the 5 Star Frog Splash for the win. Never understood why this match happened, RVD and Christian never had any heat and DDP was there to interfere thus setting up another match between them....WWF booking....Go figure. 1*
Trish vs Lita
You know how I feel about women wrestling so I won't say anymore. Lita wins with a moonsault...whatever!
Lindas major announcement. Ric Flair has 100% control of Raw and Vince has 100% control of Smackdown and a draft will be held next week to pick the wrestlers that will appear on each show.
Vince McMahon is on his way to the ring, he walks so funny! He bids farewell to Raw and out comes Flair. Flair and McMahon exchange words. The coin toss of doom to see who goes first for the draft is done and Vince wins it, but gets a Figure Four for his troubles!
Booker T & Kurt Angle vs Edge & Kane
Kane starts off with a side slam to Booker and a top rope clothesline. Angle distracts Kane and Booker nails a sidekick. Angle and Booker hit a double suplex and Booker tries the axe kick and both get a tag. Edge with a missile dropkick on Angle, Kane tosses Booker outside and Angle gets the Ankle lock on Edge. Kane breaks it up and chokeslams Angle. Edge tries the Edgecution but Booker tries to hit the Sidekick but nails Angle. Spear on Angle and a Edgecution for the three! 2*
Maven vs Al Snow
Maven starts Wrestlemania with the Hardcore Title and it goes through 5 other people and ends up with the same person that it started with....go figure! Teacher vs Student. Al Snow lays some punches on Maven and throws him into the stairs. Some outside action and it finally gets back into the ring. Trash can lid shots to the head and Spike enters and nails Al Snow with a stop sign and out of the crowd comes Paul Heyman with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar destroys everyone in the ring and nails three vicious powerbombs on Spike, but hey I could do the same to Spike as well. Lesnar is friggin huge! No outcome to the match so no rating! Good to see Heyman back where he really belongs....managing!
The WWF feels the necessity to recap the reaction Hogan got earlier in the night...like we really care! Get on with the show. This is the Raw after Wrestlemania and it should be one of the better shows and not a filler show.
Matt and Lita are shown making out backstage like we need to see that! Regal comes from behind and tells them that their fairy tale relationship could end after the draft and JR shows emotion like he actually cares!!!!
Dudleyz vs Billy and Chucky
Stacy Kiebler is so hot! Double clothesline by DVon and Chucky! Double tag and Bubba hits a side slam and a body slam on Gunn, followed by the WAZZUP!!! Kiebler gets up on the apron and Billy turns away, now come on who would turn away from that, unless you are really focused on your match or ...... um I would rather not say it because I know Billy isn't focused on his matches! Stacy nails Billy with the Tag Title and the Dudleyz hit the 3D but it is too late, the bell rings for the DQ. The Dudleyz are mad at Stacy so they drive her through a table. I guess that Stacy will be in a different fed than the Dudleyz! The match itself was a DUD!
Triple H makes his way to the ring holding both belts! Why don't they give him one belt or get rid of the WWF belt and keep the WCW belt? He explains once again that he is the game and he is that damn good, wow Triple H we haven't heard that before, it is a good thing that you did tell us or else we would have never known! He shows footage of Steph getting Pedigreed at Mania so of course out comes Steph with a neck brace. A match between Y2J and a partner is set for next week against HHH for the Undisputed championship. It is Y2J and Steph vs HHH and if Steph gets beat she has to leave the WWF. WOW the word Bitch is getting thrown around alot tonight!
Hogan & Rock vs Hall & Nash
Let's hope Hogan comes out to Real American! Out comes the NWO, followed by Hogan but No Real American music, it's even better.....VOODOO CHILE!!!!! All four men in the ring and Rock nails Nash out of the ring and Hogan and Hall go at it. Hogan tags in Rock and he gives Hall a Spinebuster and tries the people's elbow but Nash trips Rock. A clothesline by Hall and a tag to Nash. Sideslam to Rock and knees in the corner followed by punches and elbows and the foot to the throat. Tag to Hall. Hall lays the beatdown on Rock but Rock fights back. Fallaway slam by Hall and a tag to Nash. Rock nails a Rock Bottom on Nash. Come on Kevin it isn't that hard to sell!!!! Rock crawls towards Hogan and makes the tag and Hogan Hulks up!!!! Boot by Hogan followed bt the leg drop, which shouldn't be a valid finisher by today's standards but let's just work with it. 2 count and Nash pulls out Hall and they leave the ring and get counted out. What the hell kind of ending is that??? I guess there were too many ego's in the ring and no one wanted to do the job. Where is Shawn Michaels???? Get him in there and reform the kilq baby!!!
Well Raw kind of disappointed me for being right after Wrestlemania, there were too many angles on this Raw and there was a huge build up to the main event and a very disappointing ending. I mean come on 25 minutes to start the show and that is the ending we get??? Maybe Smackdown will explain some of these unexplained angles!
