Y2J : Transitional Champion.

I know that I may receive a lot of flack for writing this article but here in Canada we have something called freedom of speech and this is my opinion. The Transitional Champion I chose to speak on is none other than another Canadian, Chris Jericho. I am not putting down any of his talents or how far he has made it but with him holding the undisputed chamionship, I do have to say that he is a transitional champ.

Chris Jericho has held every title in both promotions except for the WCW Tag Team Championship which was a joke during his time anyway. This is very respectable for Y2J but holding the WWF/WCW undisputed Championship is very wrong. The WWF is trying to push him as a legit main eventer and I don't think that he should be there. Right now Chris Jericho is a transitional champ which means he is basically holding the title for someone else. (thanks M.D.) I don't know how Jim Ross can say that Jericho is not a transitional champ. How many clean victories can you say Jericho has had since he has been champ? By making Y2J win by cheating you may be trying to establish him more as a heel but you are making him look like a weak main eventer.

I believe Jericho has the ability and talent to be a main eventer but he does not fit at the top of the WWF with guys such as Austin and Triple H and now that the NWO is around, what are Jericho's chances of being in the main event status for much longer? Jericho will probably be dropped to a mid card spot once again to fued with guys such as Benoit (who should be main eventing) Edge, Regal, RVD, and Rikishi, which may be a good place for him to be to actually be taken seriously. I know now that I see Jericho as champion I know I don't take it seriously, and I know alot of the fans don't take it seriously and for all you marks out there, yes I do know that wrestling is fake.

Some of you may disagree with me but hey.....That's my opinion.
