NAWA Glory 7/7/05

TONIGHT: Number One Contenders Match for the NAWA Television Title, with AJ Styles, Ron Killings, Samoa Joe, and Sederick Skyhawk. The Gambler puts that NAWA Television Title on the line against Scott Steiner. Best Two Out of Three Falls, Belt for Belt, NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Bryan Danielson against NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke. All this and more tonight on Glory!

"A Call for Blood" by Hatebreed plays and out comes CM Punk, along with his agent Larry Sweeney. The crowd is booing, as Raven will be out this week with a concussion that he suffered at the hands of Punk last week with that DDT on concrete. Punk looks pleased as he enters the ring. CM Punk enters the ring, before giving a mocking pose in the crucifix position. Sweeney grabs the microphone, telling the fans to get up on their feet and cheer for the franchise player of the New Age Wrestling Alliance, CM Punk. The crowd really boos as that is a title that many have given Raven. Sweeney hands the microphone to Punk, who has a major announcement to be. There have been rumors on the Internet and in the dirtsheets but we'll see if Punk will confirm any of those.

Punk is on the microphone, talking about his past two years in the NAWA, how the fans have booed him, disrespected him. They are jealous of his straight edge values, that have given him countless victories over their heroes while they live their miserable lives of drugs and alchohol. For two years, Punk has showed time and time again his ability, "proving that Straight Edge does mean I'm better than you". The NAWA has constantly overlooked his talent, refusing to give him title shots, putting him in deadend matches. However, someone has noticed Punk's talent and since his contract ends the day after WrestleClash IV, he is taking advantage of this offer. Punk announces that with the help of his agent Larry Sweeney he has signed a deal to compete for World Wrestling Entertainment.

The crowd explodes into boos with chants of "WWE Sucks" and "Heat Duty". Punk remarks that he has been impressed with WWE has to offer and while he's making a comfortable living with his NAWA contract, he can make much more money in WWE and is respected as a great athlete. He has to admit he has been in contact with the competition for months, ever since before the 10th of March of 2005. Punk says some of the fans might have short memories because of the drugs they have taken and the alchohol they have consumed, but that was the night that the NAWA World Champion Harry Harris broke his neck in a match with CM Punk. Punk says he had positioned that monkey flip to send Harris crashing down on his head on purprose, it was a test that the McMahon family gave him and he passed with flying colors. He took out the NAWA World Champion to send the company into chaos, because they thought they could compete with the big dogs. That began Punk's long journey to the competition that will end after August 14th at WrestleClash IV.

Punk continues to badmouth the New Age Wrestling Alliance, while putting over the competition. Out comes the NAWA Owner Matt Harms and he looks pissed. He's yelling "cut his fucking microphone!" Said microphone is cut and Punk looks pissed. Harms has a microphone of his own, saying that Punk cost the company millions by putting out the champion on the shelf. Last week, he injured Raven, which he supposes was another test by those bastards up North. Harms says its time for Punk to get injured, when he goes into the ring with another man he tried to put on the shelf, Ron Waterman tonight on Glory! The crowd pops big for this main event being announced. Punk complains, yelling that he isn't wrestling unless its for the NAWA World title. Harms says he will wrestle tonight or he will take him to court for breach of contract. Punk is still under contract until August 15th and he will do what Harms says because he is the boss. The crowd pops big as Punk and Sweeney look pissed. What a big match, CM Punk squares off against Ron Waterman tonight on Glory.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match: Bryan Danielson drew Tony Mamaluke: (Tony Mamaluke retained the NAWA International Title.) (Bryan Danielson retained the NAWA Cruiserweight Title.)

Mamaluke leaves the ring, as tonight both men walk out of Glory with their titles remaining around their waist. Danielson walks off, taking the NAWA Cruiserweight Title. We'll be right back with the NAWA World Tag Team Champions. Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley are in the ring when we come back on Glory!

[commercial]

"Heartbreaker" by Led Zepplin plays and the fans cheer as the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley walk down to the ring. Sabin and Bentley are dressed in straight clothes, with belts draped over their shoulders. They enter the ring, getting a microphone. Sabin remarks that it has been great being NAWA World Tag Team Champions. In fact, they have defeated some great tag teams and have had some big title defenses. They hope to be the NAWA World Tag Team Champions and have a big title defense at WrestleClash IV.

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays and the crowd boos as the Archangels of Anarchy, Armageddon and Destruction walk down the aisle, lead to the ring by their valet Desdomia. Desdomia gets on the microphone remarking that its all well and good that Sabin and Bentley are the champions, but the fact is that if the Archangels of Anarchy received one more shot, they would be the NAWA World Tag Team Champions. Bentley grabs the microphone, wondering out loud exactly how many times do they need to defeat the Archangels before they get the hint, that they aren't the team Bentley and Sabin are. Desdomia responds that the Archangels should be the one's to receive an NAWA World Tag Team Title Shot at WrestleClash IV which Sabin and Bentley look very amused at. They won at Gold Rush and twice sicne then. Do we really need a fourth round of the Archangels against Sabin and Bentley to see who the better team is?

Before Desdomia can respond, "O Fortuna" by Carl Oft plays. Can it be...IT IS! "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels walks down the ramp, making his return to the New Age Wrestling Alliance! Daniels walks down the ramp, after being gone for several months, but he's back, the leader of the Archangels of Anarchy has returned. The Fallen Angel has a microphone of his own, putting over Desdomia leading the Archangels, despite the certain shortcomings of certain members. Right now, he casts looks towards Destruction and Armageddon. Before he went on his sabbatical, they were the NAWA World Tag Team Champions and the most dominant force in the Tag Team Division. Now they are a team who lost to Shark Boy and Spanky. Perhaps they would like to down the French Revolution for an encore. Daniels says he brought them out of the arenas, where they were putting their bodies on the line in spotfest in front of a hundred people, at most. He made them stars and they shouldn't forget that. He made them and he could break them.

Daniels turns to Sabin and Bentley, saying that they are the NAWA World Tag Team Champions and they might have scored a few wins over the Archangels of Anarchy, but they should remember they failed to beat the Archangels last year at WrestleClash III. Daniels challenges Sabin and Bentley to back to back singles matches on back to back weeks on Glory, they can hammer out the details of who goes first. If the Fallen Angel wins both of those matches, it will be Bentley and Sabin putting those NAWA World Tag Team Titles on the line against The Archangels of Anarchy at WrestleClash IV. If Daniels fails to be even one of them, then the Archangels will be forced to split up. Sabin and Bentley turn to each other before nodding, accepting the challenge. High stakes battles over the next couple of weeks, as Christopher Daniels returns to the NAWA.

Coming Up Next: Fatal Four Way, where the winner faces the Gambler for the NAWA Television Title at WrestleClash IV. It will be AJ Styles, Ron Killings, Samoa Joe, and Sederick Skyhawk. More Glory after these messages.

It will be Samoa Joe squaring off against The Gambler for the NAWA Television Title as part of WrestleClash IV. The Gambler says he better get ready, because no one's defeated Joe before in the New Age Wrestling Alliance but there's a first time for everything.

Coming up next, the man who will contend for the NAWA World Championship at WrestleClash IV against Miles Stylish, Ron Waterman will face off against that sellout, that no good son of a bitch, that traitor, CM Punk. That's our main event, coming up next on Glory.

[commercial]

Ron Waterman vs. CM Punk(w/Larry Sweeney) Waterman looks eager to get his hands on Punk but as the bell rings, Punk bolts from the ring, walking up the ramp. The crowd is booing, as the referee is warning Punk to get back into the ring but Punk just sarcastically waves towards the ring as Sweeney tells the referee to do his job. The referee begins to the count, as he gets higher, the boos from the fan increase as Punk has gotten himself purposely counted out, screwing the fans out of their main event!

Ron Waterman defeated CM Punk by countout in 0:00:39. Rating: *

The crowd is really booing, throwing trash towards Punk and Sweeney as they alternate between chanting "FUCK YOU PUNK", "FUCK YOU SWEENEY", and "BULLSHIT"! Sweeney and Punk are standing on the ramp, as security comes out to seperate Punk from Waterman. A microphone is grabbed and Punk says he hopes the fans enjoyed that main event, because it was the quality they deserved. The crowd really boos, as a full beverage container nearly hits Punk in the face. Punk remarks that he is the franchise of the NAWA, he took out both Raven and Harry Harris, and he isn't wrestling anyone until he gets a shot at the NAWA World Title. That's the only way that this company will be able to be able to use his talent. A certain company gets bleeped out several times during Punk's speech, as he looks big taunting Waterman, as he hides behind a wall of security.

"Natural Born Killerz" plays and out comes Commissioner New Jack, who looks quite pissed at what Punk pulled. He says while Harms left the building to attend to some urgent business, he witnessed that bullshit in the ring and he's pissed at Punk not wrestling. Punk says he breached nothing, he got into the ring, a bell rang to begin the match and a bell rang to end the match. So he did wrestle Ron Waterman tonight on Glory. The crowd is really booing as New Jack says he doesn't give a damn about breaches of contract but Punk and that "fast talking cracka Sweeney" is really pissing him off. So next week on Glory, Punk will get in that ring once again against Ron Waterman. This time though, New Jack is going to add a few stipulations. Punk "can't get his ass counted out, he can't get his ass disqualified, and he can't be saved by the time limit".

Punk protests, saying he's a star and New Jack can't do this to him. New Jack tells him to shut up, saying that if Punk tries to do something funny, like get out of this match, he's going to New York in a bodybag, New Jack will make sure of that. The crowd is cheering, next week Ron Waterman and CM Punk will happen, this time Punk can't screw the fans out of their main event because it is No Holds Barred! See you next week on Glory for that match!
