[27 January 2003] What's up y'all. I know it's been a while, but with the highly anticipated Breaking Point right around the corner, along with the updated columns of Mick Lucifer, Violent J and TheNomad (Which everyone should check out, especially Violent J with his rant about how long he's been jobbing left and right) I figured it's about damn time MarZ comes back with another column for dat ass. I'll probably update after Breaking Point as well, posting the results and what I thought of each match, and after that God only knows. So let's get down to buisness. ICWWIt's a very exciting time in ICWW, as Breaking Point is this weekend. To say I'm looking forward to the card would be an understatement. It has a strong undercard, while providing an exciting 4 way matchup for the new International championship, one which could go to any of the contenders. I'll post my predictions at the bottom. First I'd like to talk about the recent character developments in MarZ. He's been getting quite a good reaction after his rib injury, which I feel went on a few shows too long, but it's working well into storylines, and perhaps it was to teach me a bit of a lesson. [I had spent the week at a friends, missing two shows.] I'm in a feud with Loopster, the Australian. This column hasn't been known to hold anything back, and I refuse to start here. Personally, I don't feel Loopster is a positive in the ICWW locker room. He's always being arrogant, and it pisses not only me, but a number of people off. While he is good for ICWW as a whole as it adds a new member, and he has a good character, I think he needs a change of attitude in his presence, it'd benifit him greatly. Recently Mick introduced a new side project he's working on entitled 'Visions' which is basically a look back at the past, and the coming of ICWW. I personally love this, as I truly enjoyed my time in IWWE, the first chapter revealed so far, and looking back was great also. During IWWE, I was known as Lotus^, and I was the Canadian Champion. As silly and corny as it may sound, I loved being known as the Canadian championship, as it left me representing my country. Mick had this thing of refering me to the flower Lotus, so on the first ever Aftershock, before even ICWW was created, he had this little segment where Albert Beefcake went over my streak, only to have a disrupting fan attempt to start a "flower power" chant, only to be kicked out of the building by security. Hilarious, great memories. You should check out the visions page, and then check in to the old IWWE results, they're good for a good time. On a different note, Team Extreme has reformed. But apparently, it's at a bad time, as Violent J has cost me two straight matches [Just kidding Darren]. But in all seriousness - what the hell is going on with him. $rand has been against him for quite some time now, but everyone is pulling for him in his match against Chris Jericho in a fight over the Y2J moniker. Next thing on my mind is the clock issue. I haven't a clue what the hell this is about, but I have faith in Mick that it will be something exciting, although I do hope it is revealed sometime soon [Breaking Point] Also in tie with this is the question of why Violent J is apparently selling tickets for a lottery of Mick Lucifer's. I was the first to suggest that perhaps the lottery is for the event after Breaking Point, with the winner of the lottery to get the next title shot. But what does that have to do with the clock?! Is it all related?! Who knows! I'm not even going to mention IWWF in this issue.. their weak attempt at shows is already failing, as is perceived in the lame attempts at results. In all reality, Mick summed it up quite well in his interview with Justin on the site when he said that Mick is the kindly, better loved uncle of what Justin fathered. I'm looking forward to the possibility of fighting the Pacific Connection for the tag titles at the next pay per view, apparently titled 'End Of Infinity'. Rumors abound that the match will be that of TLC, but only time will tell. I know I'm all over the board in topics, but it's late and what can you expect? Anyways, there's also been rumors of the possible return of Abel Lucifer to ICWW. My thoughts - enough is enough. I personally wouldn't like to see this return, as I feel the Mick Lucifer character is progressing nicely as is. I'm enjoying the Statix character, although I wish he was around more so I could get to know him personally. That being said, he's still around more than Shamrock, another reason I'm rooting for him come ppv time. Speaking of great characters, how about little Rockey?! He's been taking names and kicking ass! .. well not really, but he sure has been trying! Keep striving for your dreams little fire cracker! Breaking Point Predictions Okay, moving right along into the last little bit of the column, here are my picks for the ICWW event this weekend. "The Little Fire Cracker" Rockey -v- Matt Hardy "Version 1" [Hardcore Title] Being the big Rockey fan I am, I'd love to see him pull this one out of the bag. He's so enthusiastic. Alas, I feel a Matt Hardy win here would benefit the title, and Rockey himself as he's been seen getting into it with main eventers, and it's providing quality entertainment. Pick : Matt Hardy Super Friends -v- Pacific Connection [Tag Titles] While it being quite obvious who will win this one due to Jesseman's recent health conditions, and the amazing competitors of Oozaru [bastard] and Banging tagging up. But PC better watch out.. TX may just be on the horizon. Pick : Pacific Connection Statix -v- Jason Shamrock [MMAF Sanctioned] Jason Shamrock has been quite distant over the last two months or so, and with the power and support Statix is receiving going into this matchup, I feel it may very well be a squash, with Jason underestimating Statix. Pick : Statix Violent J -v- Chris Jericho [Submission - Battle Of The Y2J] I think Violent J will finally come out of his losing streak in this one, putting the Walls Of Juggalo on Chris Jericho, forever banishing him to find a new moniker. There have been rumors of Violent J leaving in frustration if he does not win this bout, hopefully it does not come to that. Pick : Violent J MarZ -v- Loopster [Undisclosed Stipulations - Grudge Bout] While I'll be battling through my still hurt ribs, I believe I'll be fuel in my hatred for the 2x4 swinging Loopster enough to pull a win out of this one. Pick : Marz Mick Lucifer -v- Trell -v- Rhyno -v- The Nomad [First Ever International Championship Tables Match] This is by far the hardest to pick a winner in. I'll be honest when I say that I'd be disappointed to see either Rhyno or Trell win. I'd like to see Nomad win here, but I'd also love to see what Mick does with storylines should he win this. Nontheless, I'll have to go with : Pick : The Nomad Well that's it for now boys and girls.. keep on the lookout for a new column shortly after Breaking Point. Take care.
