I started wrestling in 1964. I was working at a health club in Chicago. The owner was an old time wrestler and he broke me in. I plan on retiring in 2004. That will be 40 years of pro wrestling.
What promotions have you worked for?
NWA, AWA, WWA, WWWF, WWF, WCW, ECW, etc.
What titles have you held?
WWWF Tag Team Titles, NWA TV Title, USWA Unified World Title, etc.
What do you feel has been your greatest match and why?
When I retire in 2004, I will have had about 10,000 matches over the course of my career. I really can't say what the greatest match was. I worked with Sammartino, Morales, Dick the Bruiser, Gagne, Flair, Hogan, Race, Brisco, Funk, Koloff etc.
Who do you feel is the greatest wrestler of all time?
Lou Thesz
What is your opinion on the current state of professional wrestling?
Pro wrestling seems to change every 10 years. I witnessed all of the last 5- decades and it's changed at least 5 times. I just go with it. It is the only way that you can make it.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into professional wrestling?
