First Round Lethal Lottery Match

Chris Benoit/James Storm vs. Shawn Michaels/Kane

  vs.

Chris Benoit starts the match with Shawn Michaels.  The two start to have a very technical exchange, with armdrags, snapmares, and legsweeps.  Michaels, seemingly having had enough of that, goes to Benoit's eyes.  Shawn goes for a bodyslam, but Benoit slips off, and takes HBK over with a German Suplex.  Benoit tag out to James Storm, who goes right to work on HBK.  However, Storm makes a rookie mistake by Irish whipping Michaels into his own corner, allowing him to tag in Kane.  The newest member of Evolution makes Storm pay for his mistake, when he takes him down with a thunderous clothesline.  Kane keeps the pressure on, as he takes Storm down again with a side suplex.  Kane climbs to the top rope, but crashes hard on the mat when Storm dodges Kane's clothesline attempt.  Storm tags out to Benoit, who runs in the ring and starts to chop Kane.  With Kane's chest now a shade of red, Benoit goes for his trademark triple German Suplexes.  When he finishes, he sees Shawn Michaels running towards him.  Benoit is able to dodge the charge, taking HBK down in the Crippler Crossface.  Michaels starts to tap, but he is not the legal man.  Benoit releases the hold and turns around, where he is met by the hand of Kane.  Kane picks up Benoit and sends him back to the mat with a Chokeslam.  The referee makes the three count, and Evolution fills the final spot in the Final Four this Sunday.

Winners:  Shawn Michaels/Kane
