General
- This is a roleplaying e-fed. The most important rule is that you roleplay. You must have at least some sort of knowledge of wrestling and/or roleplaying to join.
- If you join, be sure that you are able to handle mature content. Violence, drugs, bad language, sex, and even nudity have all taken place on eCHo programming before, so if you are not mature enough to handle these subjects, don't come.
- One may have up to three (3) characters in eCHo that they control.
- All members must fill out a join form and send it to the staff when joining. YOU MUST SEND US A SAMPLE RP. A sample RP will be the main deciding factor on if you are accepted or not. Once you are accepted, we will e-mail you. Don't roleplay until you have recieved your acception e-mail. However, you may post OOC if you like, even before you recieve your e-mail of acception. If you haven't recieved an e-mail after a WEEK of sending in your join form, feel free to contact us. Chances are, your form got lost in a jumble of mail, and the problem will be sorted out.
- If you are easily offended, this isn't the place for you. Derogatory terms and religious blasphemy have taken place a significant amount here in eCHo, so if you are easily offended, this isn't where you should be. Remember, all of this stuff is in character, so don't get offended if you see it. However, racism will not be tolerated unless it is ABSOLUTELY UNAVOIDABLY necessary for an angle.
- The eCHo Chat Room was created specifically for the leisure and enjoyment of our members. No scrolling or advertising will be tolerated. You don't have to be a member to chat in the room, but you must at least be a friend of a member, or one who is thinking about joining. No trolling will be tolerated.
- eCHo only accepts original wrestlers, that is, wrestlers that you create. No real wrestlers or celebrities will be tolerated, and no characters shall be modeled after any real wrestlers or celebrities. (personality wise; using a real wrestler or celebrities' picture to represent your wrestler is completely fine)
Roleplaying
- First and foremost, you MAY NOT use another person's character in your roleplay without their permission. End of story. With their permission, fine, but without it, no-no.
- You must roleplay at least once a week to remain active in the extreme Championship Hardcore organization. If for any reason you can't roleplay, let us know AHEAD OF TIME, if possible. A week of inactivity will result in a warning, a second week will result in the release of your wrestler from eCHo.
- The weekly show is Tuesday Night Massacre. All roleplays must be posted on the board by Midnight, Central Time, Monday night/Tuesday morning. That is, 10:00 PM PST Monday night, 11:00 PM MST Monday night, 12:00 M CST Monday night/Tuesday morning, 1:00 AM EST Tuesday morning, or 6:00 AM GMT Tuesday morning. Any posted after the deadlines will be considered void unless you discuss the reasoning for lateness with the staff and we feel you have a proper excuse.
- The maximum amount of roleplays one may put out toward a match on Tuesday Night Massacre is four (4). If this is not enough, discuss it with the staff and we may consider allowing more for certain situations that we deem worthy enough. There should be no-less that one (1) roleplay for each match. Not roleplaying is no-showing your opponent. No showing an opponent once will result in a warning. A second time will result in suspension and/or the release of your wrestler from eCHo.
- The monthly pay-per-views are usually on the last Sunday of each month. Deadlines for PPV roleplays are as follows: 10:00 PM PST Saturday night, 11:00 PM MST Saturday night, 12:00 M CST Saturday night/Sunday morning, 1:00 AM EST Sunday morning, or 6:00 AM GMT Sunday morning. Any posted after the deadlines will be considered void unless you discuss the reasoning for lateness with the staff and we feel you have a proper excuse.
- The roleplay limit for Pay Per View events is five (5). If you need more than this, discuss it with the staff and we may allow more for certain situations. The minimum is of course, one (1). A no show results in a warning, and a second no show results in suspension/release of your wrestler from eCHo.
- The minimum length for roleplays is 350 words. If you think this is too much, then this isn't the place for you. If you feel you need to post a RP which is just fine with less than 350 words, send it to the staff and we will consider allowing it on certain circumstances.
- All people must have their own websites and/or layouts on which to host roleplays. If you don't have a website, need help making one, or want a layout, feel free to talk to the staff and will will help in any way possible. We have made layouts for members before, so we would be glad to help anyone needing it.
- The following is the judging system of roleplays:
- Creativity 40%
- Spelling/Grammar/Punctuation 10%
- Interest Factor 20%
- Relevance to the Match 10%
- How well it is written 20%
- The staff will use the scales above to rate the roleplays. The scores of all staff members will be averaged and the roleplayer with the highest score wins the match. For example, Creativity will be rated on a scale of 0-40, spelling/grammar/punctuation on a scale of 0-10, etc., the scores for each category will be added together to compose a number from 0-100, and the scores of all staff members will be averaged together to produce a final score for said roleplay. All decisions are final. If you lose, don't be discouraged, keep working and a win will come your way!
- Since strats (promos or attacks that one sends in to take place on the weekly shows or pay-per-views, short for strategies) are in character, and you are, in essence, roleplaying in a strat, this will be placed here. All strats are due by the roleplay deadline and one wrestler may have a maximum of four (4) strats on each show. That should be plenty of time for attacks, promos, etc. If you feel you need more, contact the staff, and we may consider letting you have more for certain circumstances. Strats are completely optional, and they must have something to do with a pay per view feud. However they will count as an extra credit score of sorts toward pay per view matches, so they are somewhat useful. It is completely LEGAL to attack a person on a strat, with or without their permission, as long as it doesn't intrude on their character/persona. For example, if a wrestler has a mask, THAT WRESTLER HAS A MASK, END OF STORY. You may not remove the mask without their permission, because that is violating/intruding on their character/persona.
Out of Character
- Out of Character. This is the fun part. Firstly, all Out of Character (OOC) posts are to take place on either the OOC Forum or the GD Forum. OOC Forum is for OOC posts relating to eCHo, GD Forum is for OOC posts NOT relating to eCHo. Any messages posted on the wrong board will be DELETED. Most importantly, NO OOC POSTS ON THE RP BOARD, WHATSOEVER!
- No one likes an asshole/bitch, so try to stay away from starting fights. NO OOC FIGHTS. However, we are somewhat leniant on this rule as all three of us staff members are amused by OOC Fights... Always makes the fed more interesting and lively, don't ya think? But keep it under control. Too many fights makes for OOC Hell.
- When critiquing roleplays (IN THE OOC FORUM) no cutdowns will be tolerated. Constructive criticism is highly acceptible, but libel/slander against a certain roleplayer for the sake of libel/slander is strictly prohibited and will result in an automatic suspension.
- Do NOT complain to the staff about results. It won't do anything but piss us off. We won't change the decisions, so ya might as well just leave it alone. Face it, if you lost, it wasn't the decision of only one person, but THREE. The only thing you can do is keep trying and you will be sure to win again sometime.
- Here's a warning. NO ADVERTISEMENTS OF ANY FUCKING SORT ON ANY FUCKING BOARD! NO ADS FOR OTHER FEDS, NO NOTHING! This is one of the things that pisses us off the most, and any ads will be deleted from the board, the poster's IP address/addresses will be banned from the boards, and the handler's wrestler(s) will be released from eCHo.
