Malice versus Sean James versus Violence

Personal rivalries leading to World Gold

The Story
A lot of controversy and deception leading up to this, the Hell’s Return Main event. After securing his third World Heavyweight Championship reign over the Prophet, Malice was ready for a new challenge. That challenge came in the form of the 2004 King of the Deathmatch, “Perfect” Sean James. Conquering the KODM tournament, Sean James was then contractually declared the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship at Hell’s Return. Sean’s desire to defeat Malice for the coveted World championship was irrelevant, as Malice had to first survive as World Heavyweight Champion. Aside from Sean James, another challenge reared its head at Malice…Violence. Argued the most intense athlete on the EBWF roster to never have been World Heavyweight Champion, Violence was granted an opportunity to challenge for the World title. A booking that Sean James took personally. James confronted Violence, and explained, in his opinion, that Violence was not ready to be a contender. Violence accepted the match, despite Sean James misgivings with the match. A potential match of the year found a bitter ending as Sean, in a fit of jealousy and bitterness, cost Violence his opportunity when James attacked Malice, ultimately disqualifying Violence. The following week, the reinstated Kevin Boren, now the EBWF’s director of Authority, made an announcement that would rock the EBWF to the very foundation. The main event at Hell’s Return had been changed from its intended one on one encounter between “Perfect” Sean James and World Heavyweight Champion Malice to a triple threat match. The third contender…Violence. James was livid, and Violence was vindicated. As for Malice…he welcomes all challengers at Hell’s Return!

The Match
A match with everything that inspired Hells Return, bitter rivalry, championship glory, and extreme aggression. All three men brought their A game on this night in a literal battle for the greatest title in the world, the World Heavyweight Championship. All notions that Violence and Sean James would be on the same page were blasted to pieces, much like James’ jaw after a thunderous clothesline from Violence. James and Violence battled each other tooth and nail with Malice often capitalizing in their pinpointed attention. The match saw many ups and downs, but never deviated from the promised carnage and brutality, as soon all three men were busted open and still hacking away at each other. Anthony Caine looked to interfere himself, but Kevin Borden made sure it was not to be as he pulled Caine form the ring and laid him out with a heavy right. For his efforts, Borden was dropped with a Perfect Sean Cutter on the outside mats by Sean James. James rolled back in the ring taunting Borden just in time to get a gut-busting spear by Violence. Looking for a three, Violence got a long two before Malice stomped the pin off. That’s how hot the action got. The end came swiftly and with controversy. After Violence was put out by Malices “Red Fury”, Sean James connected with a second “Perfect Sean Cutter”, staggering Malice back and over the ropes, of course pulled down by a dizzy, yet recovered Anthony. Instead of pinning Malice after Caine rolled him back in the ring, Sean James made sure to pin Violence with a scowl on his face. The bell rang and Sean James stood triumphant with the World Heavyweight Championship finally his. James dropped his foot on Violences chest and held his newly won title on high for the closing moments of Hell’s Return.
