LSW TRTN - 8/20/02
El Diablo vs. Chris Cortez
Richard - "The following match is part of the "Witchdoctor" Bloodsport championship invitational tournament. The winner of this bout will move on to face the winner of the Hardcore Wreck / Vesago match for the LSW Whatchamacallit championship."
"Sexy Boy" by World Wrestling Entertainment begins to play. The crowd starts chanting "You can't sing" as Chris Cortez and Syd make their way down to the ring.
Richard - "Introducing first. Being lead to the ring by his agent Syd. Standing at 5'9" and weighing in at 185 pounds. "The One Man Boy Band" CHRIS CORTEZ!!!"
"The One Man Boy Band" Chris Cortez - "Before this match begins, I want to sing a little song I wrote just for this tournament. So if there will be no interuptions, I shall begin.......good. Not hit the music!!"
Instead of the music Cortez wants "Lords of Destruction" by BLS begins to play and the arena goes pitch black. When the lights come back on, El Diablo is in the ring, standing in front of Cortez.
Richard - "And his opponent. Currently standing in the ring. He stands 7'4" and weighs in tonight at an even 350 pounds. EL DIABLO!!!"
El Diablo punches Cortez in the face and the referee calls for the bell to begins the match. Syd quickly gets out of the ring and joins Kylie and Ernie at the announce table.
Ernie - "Syd. Its good to be joined by you once again."
Syd - "Thanks Ernie. I'm here to make sure my boy, "The One Man boy Band" Chris Cortez, gets the proper exposure he deserves."
Kylie - "So your here to make Cortez look bigger than he really is."
Diablo picks up Cortez by the neck and shakes him around like a rag doll. The referee tells Diablo to let go of Cortez or he'll be disqualified. Diablo drops Cortez and starts arguing with the referee. Cortez takes this chance and hits Diablo with a low blow. Cortez then gives Diablo a brainbuster suplex and goes for a cover. 1...2...kick out by Diablo. Cortez mounts Diablo and starts ounding away. The referee counts to 5 and then makes Cortez break the hold. Diablo grabs Cortez by the neck and stands up. Diablo then delivers the "Hell's Fury" to Cortez and goes for the cover. 1...2...Syd runs over from the announcers table and slides into the ring, the referee stops the count and tries to get Syd to get out of the ring. Syd argues with the referee and Diablo soon joins the arguement. This gives Cortez enough time to recover. Syd then throws a pair of brass knuckles to Cortez without Diablo and the referee seeing.
Kylie - "We've seen this before."
Ernie - "Seen what before? I didn't see a thing."
Syd climbs out of the ring. As Diablo turns around to face Cortez, Cortez hits Diablo with a brass knuckle loaded right hand. Cortez then grabs Diablo and hits him with the "Chart Topper" and goes for the pin. 1...2...3!!!"
Richard - The winner of this bout via pinfall, "The One Man Boy Band" CHRIS CORTEZ!!!"
Cortez gets up and hides the knucks. Syd climbs back into the ring and hands Cortez a mic.
"The One Man Boy Band" Chris Cortez - "Now that I've won and that piece of no-talent crap is knocked out. I'll now proform that song i wrote for this tounament. Now once again, hit the music!!"
Once again the music that Cortez does not play. Instead, "Here To Stay" by Korn begins to play. The crowd cheers as Killjoy and his friend, the sledgehammer, make their way to the ring. Cortez just stand in the ring with a very sour look on his face.
"The One Man Boy Band" Chris Cortez - "Come on Killjoy. Let me sing. Let for Angel."
Killjoy backs off a bit. He stands in the corner behind Cortez. Finally the music Cortez wanted begins to play, but before he can start singing, Killjoy slams the sledgehammer into the back of Cortez's head. Killjoy then leaves the ring. Syd tries to get Cortez to his feet but El Diablo gets up and grabs Syd by the neck and delivers the "Hell's Fury". The lights go out and when they come back on, El Diablo is gone, leaving the knocked out Cortez and Syd in the ring.
Ernie - "Will Chris get another chance to sing? I really hope he does, he's a good singer."
Kylie - "I don't think he will. Not if the LSW roster have anything to say about it."
Killjoy is still standing at the top of the ramp as Cortez starts to get up.
Killjoy - "Hey Cortez. Nothing personal man, its just that you need to keep your focus on your wrestling and not your singing. Again, its nothing personal."
