LSW TRTN - 10/15/02

Richard - "Introducing first, being accompanied by Angel and by former LSW champion Vertigo...from The Browery, New Jersey...Killjoy!!"

Killjoy, Angel and Vertigo make their way out to the ring, discussing among themselves the words of the Beast.

Richard - "And next, the only platinum record recording star to ever grace the LSW...he is Chris Cortez."

The whole of Blind Willie's erupts in cheering as Chris Cortez comes to the ring.  Cortez gets in the ring.  As Chris and Killjoy lock up, "Feel So Numb" by Rob Zombie hits the loud speakers and Commissioner Mordrid comes out to the top of the entranceway.  He just stands there watching.  Killjoy gets distracted by Mordrid's appearance.  When he turns his attention back to Cortez, he gets surprised with the Mic Check.  Cortez goes for a quick cover...1...but Vertigo pulls Cortez out of the ring.  Vertigo whips Cortez into the ring post and then rolls him back into the ring.

Mordrid - "Vertigo.  Oh Vertigo.  Sorry buddy, but you just failed your two-minute drill."

Vertigo turns around in time to get leveled by a double clothesline from Bullvine and Morglum.  Killjoy goes to help out Vertigo, but Cortez grabs him and whips him to the ropes and then hits him with a shoulder block.

Mordrid - "Boys, take it out back.  Finish him there."

As Cortez picks up Killjoy, Killjoy reverses it and takes Cortez down with an armbar on the shoulder that hit the ring post.  Cortez screams in pain but refuses to tap.  Cortez starts shimmying towards the ropes.  Angel goes to pull them back so he can't get to them.  The referee plainly sees this and tells Angel to leave the ring area.  Curse ends up coming out to take her to the back.  Cortez does get to the ropes.  Killjoy lets up.  As Cortez gets up, Killjoy puts him in a hammerlock on the injured arm.  Cortez grabs Killjoy's hair.  The ref cautions Chris about grabbing the hair, so Cortez drops Killjoy on his chin with a whipper-snapper.  Cortez flips a stunned Killjoy over his shoulder and keeps his legs cinched up for a pin attempt.  1...2...but Killjoy kicks out.

Kylie - "Looks like The Boyband still has some fight left in him.  That whipper-snapper is one I haven't seen the likes of in a long while."

Killjoy whips Cortez to the ropes and catches him with a massive powerslam.  1...but Chris kicks out.  Killjoy whips Cortez to the ropes again and boosts him to his shoulders and hits the Explosion.  1...2...Cortez kicks out again.  Killjoy takes Cortez to the top rope and sets him up to deliver the Edgecrusher, but Chris starts to fight back.  Cortez takes Killjoy to the mat with a super face-buster.  Neither man show any signs of getting up, so the ref starts his count...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...Killjoy and Cortez finally start to get up.  Killjoy places Cortez in the Killjoy Clutch.  Chris struggles, but does finally get to the ropes.  Killjoy won't let go, so the ref tries to muscle him out of the hold.  Killjoy goes and gets in the ref's face.  Whenever he finally stops jaw-jacking with the ref, he turns around and gets kicked in the gut by Cortez.  Chris Cortez hits the Chart Topper and goes for the cover.  1...2...3.

Richard - "The winner, and NEW LSW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION...CHRIS CORTEZ!!"

Cortez and Killjoy are staring each other down as Chris goes to exit back to his locker room.  Cortez stops by the bar for a shot of JD as he leaves.
