30MC - 1/25/02
[Racing out from
the back, a terrified Shorti runs from a chair swinging Cortez. Looking to put
some distance between herself and Cortez, she heads around the ring as he
follows. With the scene playing out, Geddings leaves the ring, cutting off
Cortez from Blaze.]
Howard Butz: You don't want to step in front of a man swinging a chair.
Jake Morgan: So, maybe he should step out of the way and let Cortez smack Shorti?
[A short exchange of words between the two gets the fans riled up and ready for
action. A push becomes a shove before Cortez rears back with the chair. Missing
the ducking Geddings and slamming it against the ringpost, Cortez drops his
weapon after an eye gouge.]
Howard Butz: That's fighting fair.
Jake Morgan: And I suppose using a chair is?
Howard Butz: Well, no ...
[Spinning the blind Cortez around, Geddings drops him with a suplex before
kipping to his feet and climbing up onto the apron. With a running start, he
flips forward, landing on the prone Cortez and rolling to his feet. Coming up,
he holds a hand out to a fan in the front row, pulling it back as the fan
reaches out to shake.]
Jake Morgan: This guy has some class. Reminds me of me.
[Running out from the back, Buddy Lee Jr. calls for the bell.]

CHRIS CORTEZ versus FLYKING WILL GEDDINGS
versus IEATA FUJITA

*** Ding *** Ding ***
Jake Morgan: There
goes the match.
Hoisting Cortez across his shoulder, Geddings winks at Shorti before dumping the
man on the apron and rolling him back into the ring. A woozy Cortez stands as
Geddings waits on the apron.
Howard Butz: Geddings with a sunset flip ... NO! Cortez with a shoulder to the
stomach!
A couple of forearms send Geddings to the floor. Racing back across the ring,
Cortez throws himself back against the ropes and shooting forward for a baseball
slide that carries him out of the ring. After smashing into the ring barrier,
Geddings is pulled to his feet and peppered with lefts and rights.
Howard Butz: Geddings taking a beating!
Dillon Diamond: Don't look now but here comes Ieata Fujita!
With the fans cheering wildly, Fujita races out from the back, knocking Cortez
down with a running knee to the back. Pulling Geddings to his feet, Fujita spins
around only to be countered and sent slamming into the ring barrier. Spinning
around, he turns just in time to throw Cortez over with a big back body drop
onto a prone Fujita.
Dillon Diamond: That had to smart.
Howard Butz: Will Geddings going back onto the ring apron.
Jake Morgan: See, I told you this guy was more entertaining than Vic Parker.
A suicide dive nails both men on the floor, bringing the fans to their feet.
With all three men down, the ref starts a count. With a crazed look in his eye,
Cortez is first to his feet, grabbing up his chair. A solid shot to the back of
Geddings sends him sprawling and Cortez into a tug of war with the ref.
Howard Butz: I suppose you're going to lambast Buddy Lee for not throwing this
one out?
Jake Morgan: Do you mind? I'm trying to enjoy this match.
Losing the chair to the ref, Cortez pulls Fujita to his feet before slamming a
knee into his chest. Doubled over, Fujita is sent to the floor with a single
finger to the forehead. Grabbing up the chair again from the ref, Cortez
wrestles it away, throwing it down onto Fujita's crotch. A sudden leg drop to
the vitals has Ieata bolting upright in pain. From a seated position, Cortez
lashes out with a boot to his face.
Howard Butz: This is getting out of hand. We've yet to get this one inside the
ring.
Jake Morgan: Finally starting to listen to what I've been saying for months now?
Dillon Diamond: He doesn't listen.
Howard Butz: Forget about me listening ... GEDDINGS WITH THE FULL NELSON!
Falling forward, Geddings drives Cortez facefirst into the chair on top of
Fujita's crotch. WIth a loud bang, Fujita bolts upright in pain once again, this
time bringing a louder groan of pain from the male audience. With goading from
the ref, Geddings rolls Cortez and Fujita into the ring. Using the ropes, he
comes flying in, splashing both men.
Howard Butz: GEDDINGS WITH THE COVER! ONE! TWO! NO!
Buddy Lee comes up with two fingers as Cortez pops a shoulder off the mat. Two
snap suplexes later, Geddings throws himself back against the ropes. Shooting
forward, he comes in with a spinning heel kick just as Cortez ducks out of the
way. With momentum carrying him forward, Geddings slams into Fujita with both
men falling through the ropes to the outside.
Howard Butz: CORTEZ WITH THE TOPE!
Diving through the ropes, Cortez crashes into both men. Back on his feet, Cortez
finds Shorti with a chair ready to batter him. Smiling, he slowly advances
towards the retreating Shorti until grabbed from behind and spun around by
Geddings. A quick flurry of hand motions leads to a punch right for the crotch.
Cortez' eyes cross from the blow while Buddy Lee takes away the chair from
Shorti.
Jake Morgan: Everybody was kung fu fightin' ...
Dillon Diamond: It was a little bit frightenin' ...
Howard Butz: Oh, brother ...
In pain, Cortez is an easy target for Geddings' double arm DDT into the floor
with a crunch. Rolling back to his feet, Geddings struts a bit for the fans,
waving them off, bringing the boobirds.
Howard Butz: Now, it's getting interesting. Here comes Lars and Raoul!
Running out from the back, the PiPsters make a beeline for Cortez. Moving
quickly, they bring Cortez to his feet and usher him away from the ring while
Lars gives Shorti a tongue lashing before disappearing into the back.
Howard Butz: Don't ask me what just happened.
Just as confused as everyone else, Geddings turns back to Fujita. Rolling him
into the ring, Geddings comes back in with a slingshot leg drop. A lazy cover
gets him a two count. Pulling Fujita to his feet, Geddings pushes him away
before pulling sharply back on the arm. Pulling him close, Geddings tosses him
with an overhead suplex. Charging across the ring, he hits the middle rope and
throws his body back, landing a moonsault.
Howard Butz: Geddings not taking the pin ... what's he doing?
Strutting around the ring, he wipes his forehead, flicking sweat at the fans,
bringing a loud chorus of boos.
Howard Butz: The fans are not liking that.
Jake Morgan: To be a champion, sometimes we have to do things that are not liked
by the so-called "fans" as you put it. He's got the match in hand, I
say finish it, then parade around the ring.
Dillon Diamond: Jake's got a point.
Howard Butz: Oh? What point would that be?
Dillon Diamond: Well ... uh ... uhm ...
Jake Morgan: Why not watch the match, Butz?
Climbing to the top, Geddings takes his time before leaping off and flipping
into a senton bomb. Rolling out of the way at the last second, no one's home as
Geddings lands solidly on the canvas.
Jake Morgan: Finish business first.
Pulling Geddings to his feet, Fujita whips him across the ring, knocking him
down with a high cross body block. With a near pinfall, Fujita comes up with a
handful of Geddings' hair and a balled fist. The fans cheering and threats of a
punch has Geddings pleading for his life. A low blow saves him as Fujita
hesitates for a fraction of a second.
Jake Morgan: Yup, take care of business.
Dillon Diamond: What he said.
Going back up top, Geddings comes flying through the air, spinning with grace
and landing a beautiful shooting star press. Hooking a leg, it's academic.
