“What?” Jeff
asked in a slight daze after the abrupt end the kiss.
“It isn’t
right Jeff.” She said taking a step away from him as he stood up.
“I thought it
was what you wanted? I thought you wanted it to happen as much as I did.”
“I thought I
did Jeff. I really did.”
“But?”
“But I don’t
want it now. I can’t Jeff. I’m sorry.”
“Was it that
bad then?” he asked his anger growing.
“No Jeff.
It’s not that. I’m not ready for this. I can’t handle this right now.”
“You can’t
handle it? How the hell do you think I feel???!!” He snapped causing Leah to
take another step back.
“I don’t
know Jeff. But I know it’s to soon for this. I thought you would understand
that.”
“Understand??
I just kissed you and you kissed me back. That kiss meant something to me Leah,
and I thought it would to you to.”
“Stop it Jeff.
Please.” She begged him.
“Stop
what??” he demanded to know as he clenched his jaw.
“That. I
thought you would understand!! You know what I’ve been through.”
“Yeh I do and
what about what I have been through?”
“I know how
much he has hurt you. And I’m sorry but I can’t do this Jeff!” Leah said
as she began to cry.
“How much he
has hurt me is nothing like how much you are hurting me right know!!!”
“So what do
you want me to do?? You want me to come over there, kiss you and go fuck you in
the bedroom?? Is that it?? I’m sorry Jeff I ain’t that kinda person! I
thought you knew that!!!!”
“That isn’t
what I want you to do. I want you to tell me that you care about me as much as I
do you. I want you to take back the things you aid. I want you to come over here
to me and let me hold you and kiss you.” Jeff said as tears formed in his
eyes.
“STOP
IT!!!!!” Leah cried.
“WHAT?” Jeff
snapped back at her.
“Stop
pressuring me!!!!!! Your just like him!!!”
“Who???!!!”
“Simon.”
“I’M NOTHING
LIKE HIM! I CARE ABOUT YOU!!!”
“So your
pressuring me into something I don’t want to do??!! That’s sounds just like
him Jeff. I thought you were different I really did. I trusted you not to hurt
me and you have!!”
“I ‘m not
like him Leah. I’m sorry. I don’t’ want to hurt you.”
“To late Jeff.
You have!!!” Leah cried out. She was in hysterics.
“Leah
please.” He begged walking to her. She backed away from him. She hit the wall
that was behind her. “I’m sorry.”
“I can’t
stay here Jeff. I’m leaving.”
“NO!!” He
shouted causing her to jump and made her crying louder and more hysterical.
“YES!! I
can’t trust you! What if you try it on again Jeff??!!! I’m not ready for
that.” She said as she ran from the wall to her room. She tossed all of her
clothes into her bags and threw one over her shoulder and grabbed the other with
her hand. As she headed out of the bedroom door Jeff Looked up from where he sat
crouched on the floor crying. He scampered to his feet as she headed to the
door.
“Leah stay
please. I don’t want you to go. I need you here. I’m sorry. Please just
stay, I’m not going to try anything I promise.”
“You promised
me you would never hurt me and you have. You broke a promise Jeff. I can’t
trust you. I’m sorry I’m going, I have to.”
“No you
don’t. Please stay Leah. You can trust me. I’ll show you you can. Please
Leah we need each other.”
“You don’t
need me Jeff.”
“I do Leah.”
“I’m sorry
Jeff.” She said as she went to the door surprised when it opened. Matt and Amy
came through it. They looked at Leah with her bags and her tear stained face and
then to Jeff with his tears stained face.
“What’s
going on?” Matt asked.
“I’m
leaving.” Leah said as she made for the door but Matt got in her way.
“What? Why?”
“I have to
Matt. I’m so grateful for everything you guys have done but I have to go.”
“Leah, why?”
Amy asked as she got near the younger red head.
“I’m sorry
Amy. I have to. You wouldn’t understand.”
“Tell me.”
“I can’t
I’m sorry.” She said through her tears. “But Jeff can. And there’s
something else he needs to tell you.”
“LEAH!” Jeff
said half shouting half pleading with her.
“Jeff you have
to tell them. They can help you Jeff.”
“I don’t
want them to I want you too.”
“Tell them
Jeff. Bye.” She said as she walked out of the door shutting in behind her.
“LEAH!!!!!!!!!” Jeff screamed after as he dropped to his knees crying. Matt and Amy where puzzled and shocked. Matt dropped down by his brother. He wrapped his arms around him as Jeff once again clung to him like a little lost child. He buried his head into the crook of Matt’s neck as he cried. Desperately trying to stop the pain in his heart. The pain that was caused because he knew he had just lost his savior.
