Chapter 20
Jami was in the backstage area
joking around with Shane Helms. They were waiting for their names to be
announced so they could go ringside. Earlier Jami, Tasha and Lita had
come out with Shane McMahon and a few of the male members of the Lethal
Faction to say they were going to dominate the WWF. As they had left the
ring they had slapped hands with Charity and Mags.
Just then Jami's music started up (B.L.A.D.E.'s
"control" theme song by puddle of mudd). She strutted down the
ramp in pleather pants that laced up the sides and showed the bare skin of her
legs, thighs and hips. She wore a tight baby tee that had the Green
Lantern symbol on it. Her hair was piled on top of her head in a messy
up-do. She slid into the ring and did the sable-grind.
Then the classic words, "Stand back there's a
Hurricane coming through." were heard with his theme music. He slid
into the ring and posed for all his fans. By this time Jami had sat up
on one of the top turnbuckles (the one closest to the bell ringer).
Hurricane saw Jami's shirt and gave her two thumbs up.
Then Tests music hit. Hurricane went and stood in
front of Jami, who crossed her arms and rested them on his head. She had
her chin on her arms, warily watching as Stacy and Test walked arm and arm
into the ring. Test got in the ring first and Stacy followed. They
did their usual posing before Stacy sauntered over to Jami and Hurricane.
She quickly turned around and began wiggling her butt.
Jami stepped onto the top ropes, bounced a few times to
give herself momentum and then she leapt over Hurricane's head, landing
inbetween Stacy and him. Stacy felt the ring bounce and slowly began to
turn around. Hurricane looked to the announcers and said, "Did
you see that? She can fly! What's up wit dat?"
When Stacy had finally turned around Jami smiled at her. "Can
*I* help you?" she asked. Stacy reared back and
bitch-slapped her. Jami kept her face turned for a moment before she
slapped Stacy back. Stacy slapped her again. This time as Jami
reared back to slap her, Test pulled Stacy away and stood in her place.
He leaned down so he was face to face with Jami and asked her if she wanted to
continue with what she had been about to do. Jami smiled and nodded,
slapping him full force across the face. Test swung his head back around
to look at her in shock. Test went to grab her but she moved and gave
him a low blow for his efforts.
Then Hurricane stepped in and Jami and Stacy stood in
their respective corners. Helms and Test did most of the fighting.
Finally Test delivered a major clothesline to Hurricane and he was laying
motionless on the ring floor. Test tagged Stacy, who went for the cover.
But Hurricane kicked out after a two count. Stacy began to deliver elbow
drops on the fallen superhero.
While Stacy was doing that, Jami had stepped further away
from her corner on the ring apron, encouraging Hurricane. She didn't
notice Test move around the outside of the ring and to her side.
Suddenly Test pulled her off the ring apron. Jami glared up at him from
where she was sprawled by the announcers booth.
The referee slid out of the ring and stood between Test
and Jami, allowing her time to stand up. Jami immediently tried to go
after Test but the referee held her back by grabbing her around the waist.
Test began to mock her, just out of her arms reach. Jami swiftly landed
a kick on the side of his face, causing his head to bounce off the ring apron
as he fell to the ground.
Then Jami pushed the referee away and climbed up into the
ring and onto the top turnbuckle. As Test stumbled to his feet, Jami
performed a hurricarana on him. The time this was going on outside the
ring, William Regal had ran to ringside, where Hurricane stood facing Stacy.
Regal ran into the ring and used the brass knuckles on him. He fell to
the ground just as Jami performed the hurricarana. Stacy quickly covered
Hurricane and the referee slid in to count the three count.
Jami slid in to try and stop the count but was to late.
She leaned over Helms to check on him and Stacy rolled out of the ring.
Test got in the ring and stood behind Jami. She began to help Hurricane
to his feet when Test grabbed her roughly by the hair, forcing her to
stand. He then threw her face first into the ring floor, before he again
picked her up and draped her over his shoulder.
He pulled on the strings that held her pants together at
the sides. He began to unlace the side of the pants that was closest to
him. Then the Hardyz music started up and Jeff ran to ringside and
proceeded to whoop Test's ass. Jami was laying on the ring floor,
obviously hurt.
Once Test was taken care of, Jeff and Hurricane helped
Jami up the ramp. The guys had to keep a firm grip on her because she
wanted to go back in after Test.
Finally they got her backstage and Jeff pulled her into
an empty hallway. "Are you okay? It looked like you got
hurt out there." Jeff asked in concern. Jami lifted up the
edge of her tee to show him her stomach. "I landed a little
roughly on my stomach...it'll probably bruise a bit." Jeff leaned
down to get a look at her stomach. "yeah, it's already turning
red...are you sure you'll be okay." Jeff asked, running two of his
fingers over her stomach. Jami shivered at his touch and he smiled.
"Jami, I'm sorry for acting like such a jackass
lately. I was wrong not to trust you. I know you'd never do anything
like that behind my back. I'm sorry. And I love you. I realized how much
pain the doubting must have caused you. I didn't quite understand until I saw
your promo with Stacy earlier. Stacy said I was sleeping around and you
didn't bat an eye. You didn't come after me after the promo to confront
me. It's like you...well...you..." Jeff trailed off and Jami
broke in. "Like I trusted you, believed in you? That's what I do. I
love you." Jami told him.
"Please say you'll forgive me?" Jeff
asked. "Okay...but we still have a lot to talk through. You do
know that, right?' Jami asked. Jeff nodded before kissing Jami.
