Chapter 8

"Nothing will get better if you don't smile." Saga said sitting down next to
Chloe.

"Like you care."

"Excuse me?!" Saga said very annoyed at Chloe's words.

"I said like you care. Saga, apart from if someone you know and like is
involved, you don't give a shit about me and my life. You don't care so
don't waste you life, just leave." Chloe said angrily.

"Where did this come from? I was trying to comfort you!"

Chloe shook her head. "You said I was a bitch, so why would you want too?"

"Because I do! It isn't like anyone can ignore you sitting here; you head in
your hands as you try to wipe away tears without anyone knowing. Chloe, no
one is that heartless."

Chloe put her head back in her hands and sighed. She knew Saga was right but
could never admit it to her. Chloe was one to never admit someone was right
if she begged to differ. Chloe was the most stubborn person she knew but she
would only admit that to herself. Chloe looked at Saga then back down to the
floor between her shoes. "Sorry."

Saga smiled and put an arm around Chloe's shoulders. "Leah still want to
kill you?"

"No, Jeff won't let her so they just kiss." Chloe said sighing. "That is
worse."

Saga went speechless. "You just admitted you liked him!"

Chloe's eyes went wide and went to try and think of something to cover it
up. "No I didn't. I said seeing them kiss is worse. because. they both hate
me and I. don't like seeing them happy?"

Saga laughed allowed. "Chloe, if I ever get stuck in a situation, remind me
to let you take over." Saga said sarcastically. "That was the worst ever."

Chloe became teary again. "Don't tell anyone please Saga. Please." Chloe
said almost begging and Saga knew how much it meant to Chloe that no one
else found out because Chloe never begged. She never really had enough shame
or was in the circumstance for it. Saga knew this was too weird, way too
weird. Chloe never would say sorry to her, never mind confine something in
her.

"This is a little over whelming." Saga said truthfully.

"Please." Chloe said and Saga noticed the tears in the very young brunette's
eyes.

"Okay. If it means that much to you."

---

Leah walked down to the ring, knowing she had to help Chloe again with her
'lady like' practise again. She didn't get it, Chloe had it under wrap and
she didn't stuff up as she walked down to the ring, or whenever she was on
TV. Leah knew someone was up to something, but who. Still, at the risk of
loosing her job, Leah went do to the ring to see Chloe sitting there in the
ring apron. Leah sighed knowing this must have been the act of team extreme
since they were the most worried about this.

"Hi." Leah mumbled. "Who told you to come down here? Matt told me and said
he would be back soon. He just needed to go check something."

"Amy did." Chloe said, not looking at Leah. "She said she needed to go see
Matt before he headed off down here so she left." Chloe said, not really
wanting to talk to the woman that was one of her best friends but knew she
had to if she ever wanted to keep the friends she did have at that moment.
Surely the red head could compromise and believe her boyfriend when he said
Chloe didn't mean it. Sure the red head could have a temper but Chloe was
known for hers.

"Well. what do you need to work on?" Leah asked looking anywhere but Chloe.
She was afraid that if she did look at Chloe for longer than a few seconds
when she wasn't picking on her, then Leah knew for a fact she would forgive
Chloe, she did that.

"Nothing. That's it. I asked Uncle Vince. He said it was a joke but I
thought that out of the kindness of my heart, I would come down here so you
didn't wait." Chloe said, getting the sarcastic and bitchy tone back in her
voice.

Leah looked at Chloe and sighed before turning around and heading back.

"What? Not even a thanks? I stayed here waiting for you and you walk out on
me! I could be back at the hotel, catching up on much needed sleep and you
walk out on me, not even saying thank you? Fuck you can be a bitch! I was
doing something nice for you when you haven't been the nicest to me!"

"Sorry!" Leah said sarcastically. "I'm sorry I spent my little free time
helping you become a diva everyone wants to see. I'm sorry I got annoyed and
began to hate you when you wouldn't stop flirting with my boyfriend then I
did hate you when you said you loved him!"

"Wait a second! I never said I loved him. That never came out of my mouth
Leah! Don't say that it did! Even Jeff said it didn't!"

"Jeff just stands up for you! If he doesn't, someone else does and it goes
around and around! He likes you Chloe; he has never hated you. He thought
you were only joking but when it became serious, he backed up and left you
alone. He never ever wanted to hurt you so he isn't."

"It was never a really big joke, and it was never serious."

"Everyone knows Chloe. But you were way too much of a McMahon to realise
everyone knows you, everyone knows how you work, and that's why everyone
loves you."

"You don't." Chloe said smartly. She had a large smirk on her face, as she
said those words, not afraid to argue.

"But I don't hate you when I should." Leah said leaving. "So thank you and
good-bye." As Leah walked off, she knew Chloe was right. Even Jeff, the one
that heard had said that Chloe didn't say the words, someone anonymous said
it and that's how it stayed, anonymous. No one gave the slightest clue who
had said it and Leah hadn't found the weakest person just yet. But one day
she will. One day she will forgive Chloe. One day Leah will be back to Leah.
