Chapter 15
"Leah, let me explain!" Jeff said knocking on the door that kept
him from
reaching his Leah. Even though Steph had said she wouldn't tell, she lied.
Once Leah asked what was wrong, Stephanie pounced, not able to keep her
mouth shut for one second! He could of stroke that woman down if he wasn't
so. well no, he wasn't a gentleman any more, but someone that just didn't
hit girls. And the sadness and pain running through Leah's body hurt him as
well. He had meant it; Leah completed him.
"Stay the fuck away from me Jeff! I don't want to ever see you again!"
She
screamed. "I am sick of you and your little tramp! I don't need this Jeff!
You know I don't so why did you do it? If you just told me you wanted to
brake up with me, it would be fine but you being the sick freak that you
are, had to stick knives in my back, along side Chloe's!" Leah screamed
through the door. "Leave my fucking room Jeff! And take everything you own
with you!"
"But Leah, I can't. You have my heart."
"Kiss my arse!" Leah said angrily. "Kiss my arse for the first
and last time
Jeff!"
"Baby, I will but you have to get out here." Jeff said smiling,
knowing
perfectly well that he had made her smart arse comment fall to the floor as
his shone above.
"Jeff, why did you do it?" Leah asked, sitting against the door so she
could
hear him as he spoke.
Jeff leant down against the door, knowing that she was leaning against it as
well and that he was now the closest to her, as she would let him. He needed
her there though. He could never fight with her, never. She had this control
over him that drove him into insanity when they had a disagreement, never
mind an argument or fight that they were now sharing. "I don't know. I
really don't and I know this is going to sound really bad," he chuckled to
himself, "I kind of don't regret it. Not that I wanted to cheat on you
because I don't but because she is something different to you. Chloe is more
like a best friend, a best friend you can't keep your eyes and hands off.
One that has penetrated your mind so much, she won't leave. But Leah, I
sware to you, she is not better than you."
Leah wiped away a tear as it cascaded down her pale cheek. "And I am sure
you said that to Chloe too." She said trying to not sound as hurt as she
was.
"No I haven't Leah. She wanted me too choose but I can't. I said she isn't
better than you, in fact, you two go hand in hand. You two make the perfect
being, the perfect race alone!"
"Yeah, whatever Jeff. Chloe and I hate each other!"
"Over me. But you know what Leah, as confused as I am right now about who I
want or something, I think it is up to you and Chloe. To see who really
wants me!" Jeff said sadly. "Leah, Lee, please come out here. I need
to feel
your touch." He said sadly.
Leah stood up, slowly unlocking the door, not sure if she should in fact
open it or not, but she did. She opened the door to see Jeff in tears and
not afraid to show it. Leah burst out into tears then held his hand, giving
him his wish. "I think you are right." She said looking deep into his
sparkling eyes. "It isn't up to you. It is up to Chloe and I and trust me
Jeff, I'm not going down without a fight."
"Not even after what I did? After all I did?"
Leah shook her head. "People might think I am daft, but I do love you Jeff,
with every fibre of my being." She spoke softly and Jeff held her closer,
sharing his warmth with her as he held onto her slim, wet and cold body. He
wished this night would speed up! He needed to predict the future!
---
"Chloe, you are fucking insane! If you like Jeff so much, don't bother
letting Leah have him. If he means that much to you, you take the ball into
your court!" Saga said angry that Chloe was even considering giving Jeff
up.
"But Saga, they have a history! They love each other! And whenever I make a
stand, he goes back to Leah."
"Do not tell me all the times you have dated or at least slept with Jeff
over the past five years mean that you two don't have a history. Why else
did you hate each other so much? You two took in turns of hurting one
another! You two never saw each other in the morning for Christ's sake! And
anyway, you kissed Jeff and now he is having trouble choosing! That is a
start! Go back to the good old days then he will be yours for eternity!"
"Yeah right! Where we spend the night showing each other we love each other
then whoever wakes up first, leaves, leaving the other heart broken. I don't
think I want to go back to that." Chloe huffed. "And not many people
know
about it, at all, so why do you?"
"I hear things when doing make up. Jeff was talking to Matt when I was
doing
Terri's in the good old days."
"Well I'm not going back to it! Jeff and I had no chemistry, only lust! And
that is how it is today. Jeff told me that Leah completes him and there is
no way I am standing in the way of that. I might be a McMahon and get
everything I want, but I would rather a friend than a lover."
"So you want Jeff to be a friend?" Saga asked, knowing perfectly well
that
Chloe was just putting on a face, to hide the pain and suffering Jeff
mucking around with her then kissing Leah had caused her. She was a tough
woman; nothing got to her, especially love. In Chloe's eyes, there was no
such thing as love. Love was lust with a connection. And lust was her middle
name. If she didn't lust someone; then they lusted her, it was just a
coincidence that Jeff and Chloe lusted one another at the same time. Nothing
more.
Once Saga placed her hand on Chloe's, Chloe broke out in tears. As much as
Chloe tried to fight it, the past was not just the past. The feelings were
still present deep within her soul. She knew she loved Jeff when they played
childish games with each other's heart. She knew that she burst into tears
once she saw the other half of the bed was empty. She knew for a goddamn
fact that if she didn't fall for Jeff, she would believe in love. Jeff had
hold of her heart at the slightest touch and he knew it and every time they
decided to prove their love/lust, their hearts were the only things that
mattered. They knew each thrust took away painful and horrible feelings
within their soul and the morning after, brought them all back.
"You don't want him back do you?"
Chloe huffed. "Yeah I do, but what I know I don't want is the pain he
brings."
"Leah doesn't seem to have a problem with it, nor did his other
girlfriends."
Chloe shrugged. "Maybe it's the games we played. Maybe I was too much of a
McMahon to admit that he used me. I don't know, but he doesn't hurt Leah."
"That's because Leah doesn't give him the chance. Chloe, you have this
shield around your heart and whoever you let in, hurts you, only because you
let them."
"Saga, that's shit!" Chloe said heading over towards the door.
"Complete and
utter shit! And you know it!" Chloe said leaving the room, knowing that
Saga
was right, she seemed to always be right!
