Title: I Will Remember You
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter:  1, it's a song fic
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*.  But I do own Madison, for she is one of my personalities.  The song belongs to Sarah McLachlan.  And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: Will you remember me?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!

Madison stood outside the apartment she had shared with Chris Irvine for two years.  They had been the happiest two years of her life.  From the moment they had met outside of Survivor Series in 1999, until a few weeks ago.  That's when everything had crumbled to the ground.

Chris was turning into a heel in the WWF, and sometimes he forgot where Chris Jericho ended and he begun.  At first Madison didn't seem to mind his snappy comments.  But then, she became irritated by his insults to anyone and everything.

Madison had talked to him about it, how it made her feel.  Chris had went back to his normal self for awhile, buit before long, Chris Jericho returned.  Even snappier this time though.  One night he had come home, and from the moment he walked into the apartment nothing went right.

Madison had been in the kitchen, preparing dinner.  She had her black hair pulled up into a ponytail and she was wearing a pair of fitted jeans and a "Rock my World" t-shirt (offered on WWFshopzone.com cheap plug).  Chris had immediently started to rip into her about the t-shirt.  Asking her if she was cheering for the Rock instead of him.  If she had some sort of crush on the Rock.  Madison was stunned by his accusations.  Dwayne and Chris were friends.  Chris, himself, had given her the t-shirt.  Before long the fight had escalated into a screaming match that ended with Chris storming out.

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories.

Remember the good times we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one

Madison watched as Chris loaded more of his stuff into his car.  He turned to face her and for a moment, their eyes met.  Madison knew her eyes showed that she still loved him.  His eyes told her that he still loved her.  But both couldn't seem to find the words that would bridge the gap between them.  Madison knew that they could stop this here and now, by simply telling each other they still loved each other.  But she knew that neither of them would make tha tmove.  They were both to scared.  She was scared that if she said anything that the Chris Jericho side of him would come out and mock her.  He was scared that if he said anything that she would reject the real him.

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I'm so tired but I can't sleep
Standing on the edge of something much to deep
It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can't be heard

Madison hope that one of them would grow brave.  SHe knew that her days and night would be consumed by memories of him.  She knew she would never lose him completely.  He'd always be there, in memories.  Even if those memories left her crying into her pillow.  Finally Chris was done packing the stuff into his car.  He gave her one last look, waiting for her to speak.

But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to lose
Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light.
***
"I will remember you, will you remember me?" Madison asked, without thinking.  "You never forget love." Chris called out to her.
***
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories.

And I will remember you
Will you remember me
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories
