She sat in the small, almost silent room and let the tears fall down her face.
In a strange sort of way they were actually comforting. At least she could still
have these feelings. This business had a habit of doing that, of making people
not feel anymore. Some of the other 'talent' had become immune to any natural
feelings. They were so used to rejection it had turned their hearts to stone.
Or so it seemed.
Maybe they were just better at hiding it than she was. She didn't know and if
she was honest with herself she knew she had never taken the time out to see.
Her attention was brought back to the TV as the programme she was watching came
back on.
Raw! How long was it since she was last on there? It had to have been Christmas
at least. She knew everyone thought it was because she was being punished and in
some ways she wished she was. At least she would have known what she had done
wrong.
She allowed a small smile break across her face as RVD came out to the ring.
Once she had hated the guy. He was so arrogent! But now she had seen another
side to him. The side she had become friends with. He never seemed to have a
care in the world. The company he had worked in for so many years was destroyed
but he barely seemed to notice.
Maybe she should try acting like Rob? Maybe if she acted like she didn't have a
care in the world then she wouldn't?
With that Lita wiped her eyes and turned the volume up on the TV. She smiled
slightly to herself and spoke to the empty room,
'Tomorrow will be OK!'
