chapter 4

The next morning Jami padded, barefoot, down to the kitchen and found Lita staring blankly into space at the kitchen table.  "Hey Lita. How do you feel this morning?" Jami asked quietly.  Lita looked up in suprise, but then smiled. "I don't have a headache, so that's a plus.  I still don't remember much though." Jami gave her a quick hug.  "Want some breakfast?" she asked Lita, who nodded in answer.  Jami fixed them a both a bowl of fresh fruit and bagels.  As they ate, they both seemed to be off in their own worlds.  Jami was thinking of ways she might be able to jog Lita's memory, and Lita was trying to remember her past.

As they cleared the table, Jami broke the silence.  "Do you want to look at my scrapbooks, the pictures I have and stuff, to see if that will jog your memory?" Lita nodded.  Jami led Lita into the library and motioned for her to sit on one of the overstuffed, leather couches.  Jami turned on her radio and grabbed a large stack of scrapbooks and brought them over to Lita.

Jami sat next to her on the couch and flipped the first one open.  "This is from when I first met you.  This picture was taken at the pool where you use to live.  And this is one of us when we went horseback riding, where I Lived, in Iowa."  Jami said, pointing to two pictures.  She flipped through a few more pages until she came to another picture of Lita.  "This is one you sent me while you were in Europe.  Your with a guy you met there. I think you said his name was David." Jami told her, watching her confused eyes study the photo.  Then Jami flipped past a few more pictures until she got to a large, black and white photo of Lita.  "This was one of the head shots you sent to Vince." Lita nodded, "I remember that photo."

Jami snapped the photo album shut and grabbed the next one.  "Here are some from your matches.  These are copies of pictures that fans took and sent you.  You made copies of those and sent them to me." Lita flipped through the photo album, studying the pictures of her early ECW days, her early WWF days and pictures of her with the Hardyz.  Towards the end of the album were pictures from after Jami joined them.

Lita gazed at the pictures of Jami and her posing in the ring together.  There were a few shots of them together in matches.  Lita shut the photo album with a sigh.  "I just don't remember any of this." Lita grabbed the next photo album and flipped it open.

"These are the pictures from Jeff and my rehearsal wedding on Smackdown.  Then there are our real wedding photos." Jami explained as Lita flipped through the pictures.  She stopped at the picture of her and Matt, dancing extremely close together.  They both had huge, lovey dovey smiles on their faces.  Lita gently ran her fingers over the picture.  "Why can't I remember?!?" she cried.  Jami gently took the photo album from her and placed in on the table in front of them.  Then she wrapped Lita in a hug and let her cry.
