Chapter 19

"So, how long are you guys on vacation?" Spike asked Matt and Jeff. "We have til Monday night RAW." Matt told him. "What about you and Lita? When are you guys going to come back?" Torrie asked Jami. "Well, we talked to Vince tonight, and he said that if Lita felt up to it, we could come back on Monday." Jami said, looking over at Lita.

Matt turned to look at Lita. "Do you think you're ready to come back?" he asked her with concern. "Yeah, I do. I remember how to do all the moves and stuff, plus it'll help me to go back to the old routine. And Vince said he'd keep me only in tag team matches and as a valet for a little while. So, I'll be fine." Lita told him and the rest of the group.

Finally everyone but Tasha, Lita, Jami, Jeff and Matt left. The five sat around the living room for a few minutes before everyone decided to go to bed for the night. Jami handed Matt some sheets, a pillow and a blanket for his couch bed. Jami, Jeff and Tasha started up the stairs. Lita started to follow but Matt stopped her.

"Can we talk?" Matt asked. Lita nodded and Matt led her over to the couch. "Lita, I need to know where you and I stand. I know you don't remember our previous relationship, but I do. And I can't just let that go. I love you Lita." Lita looked up at him with wide eyes. "M-Matt, I'm going to be totally honest with you. I do feel something for you...I have all these feelings for you inside of me, but I'm not quite sure what they are. I do know that I'm extremely attracted to you and I know that I care a lot about you. I've seen the pictures of us together and I know we were so happy together and in love. I would give anything to remember that." Lita told him that, tears spilling down her cheeks. Matt grabbed her hands, "Lita, baby, you don't have to remember! I know you love me still, a love like ours doesn't just die. Your mind may not remember it, but I know that your heart still does!" he gently wiped her tears away with his thumbs. They stared into each others eyes for what felt like days, finally Lita leaned forward and gently kissed Matt.
