Chapter 17

"Tasha! Please, all I ask is that you don't kill him.  Ya never know, he may apologize." Jami said.  "Yeah, and hell may just freeze over." Tasha mumbled.  "That's the spirit" Matt told her.  "Shut up Matthew!" Jami told him quietly.  "Tasha, there will be plenty of other people around...you don't have to talk to him if you don't want too. They are bringing videos and food with them...so it'll all be good!" Jami told her.
***
The doorbell ran and Jami ran to answer it.  "Come in!" she said, greeting the large group of wrestlers.  She hugged each one before sending them into the living room.  Edge was the last to enter.  He was carrying a couple grocery bags along with a bad from the local video store.  "Hey E. Come and bring that stuff into the kitchen." Jami said, leading him into the kitchen.

"Hey J. How's Tasha?" he asked as he set the bags on the table and gave her a hug.  "Well, the truth?  She's pretty pissed off.  So, you had either apologize or don't let her near you with any object that she could use to beat you with." Jami told him.  Edge nodded his head thoughtfully.

Jami hopped up on the counter and turned Edge so his back was towards her.  She began to play with his hair as she talked to him.  "Do you have any ideas of how we can help Lita get her memory back?" Jami asked him.  Edge was silent for a moment before replying, "Well, we could do like in the movies and give her another chair shot to the head." Jami pulled sharply on his hair.  "Ow!" he yelped.

"Sorry, but be serious.  I'm out of ideas and I feel so helpless and Matt is destroyed by all of this." Jami said.  "Matt and Lita will both be fine.  They'll find their way back to each other." Edge told her.  Jami continued to play with his hair silently.  "What makes you so sure?" She finally asked.  "they love each other. Lita doesn't need her memory to feel love.  they just need to spend some time together. I'm sure that they'll be fine once they do that." Edge told her confidently.

"I hope you're right.  Here, take the chips and drinks into the living room.  I'll bring the videos." Jami said.  "geesh, don't strain yourself." Edge mumbled.  Jami kicked him squarely in the butt before following him into the living room.  She saw the group look up and begin to laugh when Edge entered the room.  "What?" he asked, confused.  "man, we don't even want to know why your hair is like that." Matt told him, laughing.

Edge dropped his bags and went to look in the hallway mirror.  Jami took a running leap into Jeff's lap.  "Save me!" she cried.  "Owwwwww...I'm tempted to sacrifice you to him for jumping there!" Jeff growled.  "Oopsie!" Jami said as she heard Edge growl from the hall.

Jami looked from Jeff, who was wincing in pain and quickly changed laps from Jeff's to the Undertakers.  "U.T., will you save me?" Jami pouted.  "Of course baby J." he told her.  The Undertaker was known to be rather protective of the WWF Divas, so Jami knew she was safe.

Edge returned to the room, looking menacingly at Jami before taking his hair out of the Princess Leia style Jami and put it in.  He knew better than to mess with Jami while she was under the Undertaker's care though.

Jami surveyed the room.  Ivory, Trish and Shane Helms were laying on the floor.  The Undertaker, Spike and Christian were all on the couch, and Jami had settled herself by laying across all 3 of their laps.  Torrie was also laying on the floor with her head resting on Chris Jericho's lap.  Chris was sitting on the floor, leaning against the arm of the couch.  Test and RVD were on one love seat while Jeff had taken the recliner.  Matt was on the floor, sitting in front of Lita, who was sitting on a blow up chair.  Tasha was on a bean bag chair, eyeing Edge warily.  Jami sighed and thought, 'If he makes it out of here alive, he's going to be one lucky man'.
