Chapter 19

Michael Jr. paced across the living room, cursing
under his breath. It was after midnight and his
daughter was not home nor was her grandfather. When he
went to her room to discuss New York with her, it was
empty. Completely empty. All of her belongings were
gone.

Caroline sat curled up on the couch, a wadded tissue
in her hand and her eyes red from crying. They both
jumped when they heard the car pull in, both running
for the door.

Michael Sr. stared at them as he entered the house.
Caroline looking distraught and tired, his son just
looked pissed.

"Good evening. I appreciate the wait up but I'm a big
boy, I didn't need it."

"Where is she dad?" Caroline clutched his hand; "All
her things are gone. Is she with him?"

Michael Sr. thought for a moment, "She was when they
left. I'm not sure though. She's fine Caroline."

"Where is she? I want her home NOW!" he demanded to
his father.

Sr. smirked, "She is home boy. She's in her own place.
After you threatened to send her back to New York, I
took matters into my own hands. I got her the hell out
of your house and some place safe."

"But she's ok?"

"Yes Caroline she's just fine. We spent the evening
together watching Jeff in one of his wrestling
matches. That boy is very impressive; very talented."
He ended the sentence with another smirk to his son.

"Don't mention that boys name in my house."

"Oh Michael hush. It's my house too. I'm glad she's
ok. You actually went to a wrestling match dad?"

"Yes I did and I enjoyed myself very much. As did
Kendall."

"That's enough! I don't want to hear about it. Tell me
where she is right this instant!" Michael blew up at
them. His face beet red with anger.

"Nope."

"Dad you tell me where she is."

Michael Sr. shook his head, "No can do son. Not until
you accept that girl has grown up and has a mind of
her own. You must accept the fact that she and Jeff
are in a relationship. You've lost son. You've lost
control and your daughter. Those two kids are bound by
love, there is no tearing them apart."

Caroline beamed as dad spoke. The thought of her
daughter in love was fantastic. Her Princess finally
meets her Prince Charming. Being in love meant she was
finally happy and that's all she wanted for her angel.
Her father did too; he just had an unusual way of
showing it. "Now that I know she is ok, I'm going to
bed. Michael give it a rest for one night. You've
already done enough damage. Goodnight dad."

"Goodnight my dear." He kissed her cheek and lowered
his voice; "I'll take you to her tomorrow."

"Okay." She whispered back smiling.

"Goodnight son."

"Dad, we're not done."

"Yes son we are. I've had a long day and I'm tired."
He left him standing in the foyer, steaming mad.
