Title: I Honestly Love You
Author: Jami
Lynn
Chapter:
1, it's a song fic
Disclaimer: I
don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be
busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own anyone else mentioned in
the story, for they are the voices in my head, crying to get out.
The song belongs to Olivia Newton John. And don't bother suing me...all
you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask
me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So
far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing
bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything
can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: What
do you say, when someone honestly loves you?
Feedback: I
need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!
"So, what are we
going to do tonight?" Jeff asked Matt as they changed into
their street clothes. "probably some club, like usual."
Matt suggested. Jeff shrugged as he tied his blue and blonde hair
into a ponytail. He was wearing a pair of khaki's and a white t-shirt.
Matt had pulled his hair back also. He was wearing black baggy jeans, a
black t-shirt, and a red, short sleeved, unbuttoned shirt over that.
A knock came at their locker room door. "Come
on in." Matt called out. Jeff looked up as Adam
Copeland's girlfriend, Tasha, walked into the room. "Hey
guys." she greeted. Jeff went back to packing his bag after
waving at her.
He wondered why she was there, at the Hardyz locker room,
when he knew Adam was in his locker room. But, he shrugged the thoughts
off, as he figured she was probably looking for Amy. Then another
unsettling thought entered his mind. Tasha had been hanging around him
and Matt an awful lot lately. Did she have a thing for Matt?
Jeff looked over to where Tasha was talking with Matt.
Her long, dirty, blonde hair was pulled back at the sides with a few pieces
hanging in her blue eyes. She wore a pair of blue flare jeans and a dark
blue shirt with white words that scrawled across it that asked the question:
Do you hear the voices too?
Jeff looked down as he noticed Tasha watching him with an
odd look on her face. He saw her say something to Matt, who nodded and then
left. "Jeff, I need to talk to you." Tasha told
him softly.
***
Maybe I hang around here
A little more than I should
We both know I go somewhere else to go
But I go something to tell you
That I never thought I would
But I believe you really ought to know.
***
"yeah...whoot." Jeff said,
turning towards her. He'd known Tasha for nearly a year now. She'd
been traveling with the WWF for six months, ever since she and Adam had gotten
'serious'.
The first time he had met her was at a RAW show in
Greensboro. Adam had only just begun to talk with her over the phone a
lot, so he had known of her. She was a friend of Amy's. Amy had a
thing with setting her friends up with her friends in the WWF. He smiled
at the thought, but before he could continue any further with it, Tasha's
voice brought him crashing back to reality.
"Jeff, I think I"m in love with you."
***
I love you
I honestly love you
***
Suddenly Jeff felt the room spin . That was not
what he had expected. Especially not from Tasha. All Jeff could do
was look at her, to stunned to speak.
"I know...I can tell you don't feel the same.
Your eyes say it all. But I had to tell you. It's been killing me,
keeping it all inside. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. But I
did. And it's not like, I don't love Adam. That's why I'm so
confused. But it's just my heart speaking."
***
You don't have to answer
I see it in your eyes
Maybe it was better left unsaid
This is pure and simple
And you should realize
That it's coming from my heart and not my
head
***
"I just thought you should know how I feel.
Adam doesn't know, no one else knows. And I'd appreciate it if you
wouldn't tell anyone. But I had to tell you."
Jeff just looked at her, trying to find his voice.
Finally he managed to utter one word. "What?" his
voice cracked.
"I said, I think I love you." Tasha
whispered.
***
I love you
I honestly love you
***
"Jeff, I don't want you to feel weird or
anything. I know you probably will for awhile, but I hope we can remain
friends. I didn't expect anything from you when I came to tell you this.
But, I just feel that if you feel a certain way about someone, you should tell
them. That they have the right to know how you feel. And I thought
it wouldn't be right for me to not get the chance to tell you how I
feel."
Again, all Jeff could utter was "What?"
Tasha sighed in frustration, "Jeff, you are not Stone Cold Steve
Austin, so knock this what crap off."
***
I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable
I'm not trying to make you anything at all
But this feeling doesn't come along every day
And you shouldn't blow the chance
When you've got the chance to say.
I love you,
I honestly love you.
***
"Maybe if we had met first, maybe things would
be different. I know. But we didn't. I have my man and you
have your woman. And I don't regret getting with mine, and I know
you love your's. So, now that I've told you, I hope I can rest easier.
We can leave everything just as it is, as long as we don't ever mention what
I've said to anyone else, okay?" Tasha asked.
Jeff nodded his agreement, as the door to the locker room
flew open.
***
If we both were born
In another place and time
This moment might be ending in a kiss
But there you are with yours
And here I am with mine
So I guess we'll just be leaving it at this.
***
Jami, Amy, Adam and Matt all entered the room together,
laughing. Tasha turned and smiled at them as they walked towards her and
Jeff.
Adam wrapped his arms around Tasha. Jeff turned
towards another of Amy's friends, and his girlfriend, Jami and wrapped his
arms around her. He avoided her brown eyes, afraid that she'd guess what
had just happened.
"I love you." Jeff whispered to Jami.
He felt someone's eyes on him and he turned to look at Adam and Tasha.
They were still wrapped in each others arms, but Tasha was looking at him.
And her eyes said it all.
***
I love you
I honestly love you
I honestly love you.
