Chapter 15

Jami slowly woke up the next morning and stretched.  She and Traci had fallen asleep in front of the TV the night before.  Jami smiled to herself at the memory of last night.  It had reminded her of how she use to hang out with her sister.  She missed that.  She also missed Jeff.  It was hard being away from him when she felt like she did, so lost, but she knew she needed time to get her act together.  She couldn't keep hurting Jeff.

Traci stirred next to her and Jami smiled at her.  "Good Morning." she whispered.  "What time is it?" Traci mumbled sleepily.  "Nearly 10.  Now, usually I'd let you sleep, but we have a lot of crap to do.  So we better get up and take a shower.  You can use the guest bathroom while I use mine.  Then we'll clean up this mess and go to the store.  Okay?" Jami asked, stretching before she stood.  "Sounds like a plan.  Wake me when you're done." Traci muttered.  Jami smacked her with a pillow and Traci reluctantly stood up.
***
About 45 minutes later both girls were freshly showered and cleaning up their mess from the night before.  Traci was dressed in a pair of low riding faded jeans and a sleeveless New York Skyline shirt.  Her blonde hair was still damp and hanging down her back in loose waves.  Jami was dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans and a white sleeveless shirt that had the Hardy Boyz logo on it.  Her hair was also still damp and hanging straight to her shoulders.

After they had picked up the stuff from the night before, they both slipped on a pair of sandals and took off in Jami's capri convertible.  They headed to the Walmart in town and were thankful it wasn't very busy.  They grabbed a cart and began their shopping.

First thing they picked up were a couple of cans of beige paint.  Jami had decided that she'd hire someone to strip to border and repaint the room while they were gone.  Next they picked out every single cleaning supply they thought they might need.  They bought boxes to pack some of the stuff in, along with bubble wrap and duct tape.

Then they just slowly cruised through the store.  They looked at shoes, then at the jewelry.  Both Traci and Jami decided to get their cartiledge pierced.  They giggled at what their mother's reaction would be to Traci getting hers done to match Jami's.  Traci never had been into the piercing fad like Jami had.  Then they went looking through the electronics department and CD section.  Both girls picked up new CD's.  Jami bought the new Creed CD and Traci bought the new Lenny Kravitz CD.

Then both girls were feeling so generous that they chipped in to buy their brother a playstation 2 game he had been asking them to get him.  Then they decided to get something for their mom, dad and grandma.  For their mom they picked out the newest book in the "Left Behind" series.  For their dad they picked out a new model car (a viper) that he and Travis could work on together.  He loved projects like that.  For their grandma they picked out a crystal plant.  Their grandma had always grown houseplants but she didn't have the time or energy to do many of them anymore.  This one was beautiful and they knew she'd love it.  It was only June, so they were way off before they could be given as Christmas gifts, so they decided to make them into Happy June gifts.

"We'd better get out of here before we buy this whole store out." Jami teased.  "True...True...and trust me...if anyone could do it, it'd be us." Traci giggled.  "Do you wanna get some more food?"  Jami asked as they neared the checkout.  "Nah, I say we order a pizza to be delivered and that'll be lunch.  We can figure dinner out later." Traci decided.  "Sounds good, now let's get all this crap paid for."
***
Hours later the girls were still cleaning up the living room, kitchen, bathrooms and most of the bedrooms.  They hadn't went near the nursery yet.  "The pizza should be here any second now.  I'll go outside to wait for it." Traci called out.

The phone next to Jami, in the kitchen, ran and she answered it before it could ring again.  "Hello?" she answered.  "Hey baby.  You and Traci are actually awake?  I thought you were the sisters that could sleep all night and then all through the next day." Jeff teased.  "Well, we've been up since ten, so ha!  Maybe we are just losing our touch." Jami said.  "oh no. Anything but that.  What are you girls doing now?" Jeff asked.  "Cleaning.  We are going to take a break as soon as the pizza we ordered gets here.  What are y'all doing?" Jami asked, leaning against the wall.

"Oh, just got out of the meeting with Vince about tonight's show.  The usual crap.  The others went to try to catch a quick nap in the locker room.  I just wanted to call to tell you that I love you and miss you." he coo'd at her.  "I miss you too baby.  And you know I love you.  Is tonight a house show?" Jami asked.

"Nope, baby, it's RAW. You've been out of the loop for awhile." Jami nodded on her side of the phone, even though Jeff couldn't see it.  "Well, I'll make sure we watch it tonight.  And I'll cheer for only the cute guys. I promise." Jami teased.  "Thanks babe.  Do you want me to call you after the match?" he asked.

"Ummmmm, no, how about I call you after the show.  I'll give you time to shower, eat and go back to the hotel.  If you can, get me a number where I can reach matt, Lita, Tash and Edge too.  Please."  "Sure thing babe. Call around 12 or so and I'll let the others know you might be calling them too."  Jeff assured her.  "Okay, Traci just brought the pizza in and I'm starving, so I'll talk to you later.  Love ya. Bye." Jami ended the conversation with a heavy heart.
