Chapter 28

Jeff and Leah sat in there room in Gil's house. Jeff was on the bed and Leah sat on the floor with her legs drawn to her chest, she was gently rocking herself back and forth.

"Tell me what's wrong baby, please." Jeff begged her. Each time her had tried to hold her or go near her since they got back to the house she had moved away from him. Leah didn't answer him. She just rested her head on her knees and let the tears fall down her cheeks. "Leah baby, please talk to me. Tell me what it is."

Leah lifted her head slightly, enough for Jeff to see her tears. He wanted to so badly hold her and stop her pain but he couldn't, he didn't want her to hide away from him any more.

"I am...he touched me...he hurt me...he made me dirty." She said as she broke down into hysterics. Jeff instantly pulled her into his arms, she struggled but was to weak to do anything. He held her shaking body against him, he felt tears in his own eyes, he let them fall down his cheeks as he struggled to keep himself from going in to hysterical crying with her.

Matt and Colleen sat in the living room watching T.V when Colleen turned the sound of and told Matt to listen. As they did they could hear the couple upstairs crying loudly. Colleen instantly got up and ran up the stairs closely followed by Matt. Colleen knocked on the door but when no one answered she looked at Matt, who nodded and they went in anyway. They stop dead when they saw the couple on the floor. Jeff sat on the floor with Leah cradled in his arms, her head buried in the crook of his neck. He had his head resting on Leah's shoulder. Leah had her arms wrapped around Jeff's neck holding him to her. Both were crying hysterically. they rocked each other and cried against each other.

Colleen felt the tears well up in her eyes. She turned to Matt who looked much the same. He slowly walked forward to the couple on the floor. He knelt down by his brother and Leah. He put his hands on Leah's shoulders, trying to pull her away from Jeff. He eventually succeeded when Jeff gave up struggling to hold onto Leah. Colleen then went and took Leah from Matt, holding her tightly as she cried. Matt then looked at his brother who had red puffy eyes and a tear stained face, tears still falling from his eyes. He then held his brother, trying to protect him the way he always used to, when everything was ok, normal. Matt wanted so badly to have the old Jeff back.

Colleen held her sister for about half an hour until the crying stopped. Matt had taken Jeff into another room so Colleen could talk to Leah.

"What happened yesterday. He made me dirty. He made me into something i'm not. He abused me and i can't take it. Jeff is the only one who is supposed to touch me. Not him, how could he do that? How could he.....he rape me?" Leah said as a single tears left her eyes.

"NO!" Colleen snapped. "I never want to hear you say that again, ok?" Leah didn't respond. "Jeff loves you and no matter what anybody has done to you nothing is going to change that. Nothing can change the love he feels for you."
"This will i know it will. He won't want me. Not any more. I'm dirty."

"NO! You didn't. If anyone could have stopped it it was me. I was worried about Colleen and i didn't notice he had taken her. I'm sorry Jeff."

"It's not your fault it's mine. I should have protected her. I always told her i would and no look at us. He raped her. He touched my fiancée and i couldn't stop him. He did god knows what to her and I couldn't protect her."

"Jeff he didn't put himself into her, just his fingers. I know that's bad enough. She will feel like that Jeff. You just have to be there for her and tell her she's not dirty. Just keep telling her how much you love her and that your never going to leave her."
