Song: Let the Music Heal Your Soul

Chris had been really depressed lately because him and his girlfriend Colleen had broken up. He was devastated. They had been together for at least 2 years and she just got up and left.  Music. It always seemed to help him get out of the ruts he was in.  It made him think about how he was going to handle the situation or get on with his life.  This was on of those times so Chris went over to the radio and turned it on.  He heard the first few beats of the song and he started to calm down.

Oh, if someone writes a song
With a simple rhyme
Just a song
Where his feelings show
And if someone feels the same
About this simple song
Oh, and sometimes, you can hear them say
music gives you happiness or sadness
But it also, it also heals your soul
Those words that the artist was singing fit him perfectly. He sat down in the chair and really listened.

Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control
Let the music give you the power to move any mountain
Oh, if someone plays piano
With some simple chords
Symbolic and endearing too
And know if someone plays guitar
With the old piano
Then maybe you can hear them sing
Music gives you happiness or sadness
But it also
Also heals your soul
This song was making him feel a hell of a lot better. "I won't feel sorry for myself anymore. SHE left ME, I am better off without her." Chris said to himself as he heard the last few words in the song.

Oh yes
Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control
Let the music heal your soul
Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control..
"I have myself and my family. I don't need someone that will use me and then just toss me off to the side." Chris said to himself as he turn off the radio.
