Hardcore Just Once More

DVD Review:

The opening match of Flash Vs. Jack Brown was definately the show stealer in many peoples opinions. Jack Brown and Flash absolutely destroyed each other in a No Disqualification match and went the entire sixty minute time limit; destroying everything in their path throughout the span of the match. The end of the match saw Jack Brown hold Flash in a crossface submission hold, while Flash screamed in pain, the bell sounded from a time limit draw. Many were left wondering what would happen if the match had gone "5 More Minutes" as the crowd was hoping with their chants. Both men eventually shook hands as the show went to intermission.

The intermission during the show, on the DVD featured a nice 10 minute video recap of everything important from the past GFW events and history. The video segments switched from various former champions, to eventually Jugernaut buying out half of the company, and Rod Gazinya regaining the World Championship and the Tag Team Championship along with Frankie Gazinya.

Immediately after the video, Mike Moore came down to the ring pointing to the video and then motioning the title belt going around his waist. Rod Gazinya came to the ring shockingly to a very loud and mixed reaction with mostly cheers. These two put on one Hell of a match that went back and forward the entire way. Mike Moore set Rod up for the Texas Pride, but Rod countered by flipping out onto his feet then catching Mike with a big time powerslam right when he turned around, followed by the pin and the 1...2...3 to officially unify the GFW World and Xtreme Championships.

Rod got on the microphone and said that with GFW once again not being able to get any exposure, and by this event getting cancelled from pay-per-view, the GFW really doesn't need more than one title. "Only one belt is truly important in a wrestling promotion anyways, and from now on, that title will simply be known only as the GFW Undisputed Championship! From this moment on, there is one and only one GFW title! That's right, the Tag Team titles are no more too! We don't need them!"

The show went to another intermission while the Triple Cage structure for the Tower of Terror Match was being lowered and constructed by the production crew. Another video was played, this time hyping up the long-lived father versus son feud of Jugernaut and The Starchild.

The Starchild came out to the hellacious structure alone and got inside, then looked up at the upper two cages on top of this one. Jugernaut came out to the ring next followed by a huge pop for the veteran. These two didn't hold anything back, and within minutes, The Starchild was bleeding through his white makeup. Jugernaut was the first to set up a ladder and climb into the second tier cage with weapons and barbed wire lining it. The Starchild followed quickly, and caught Jugernaut with a low blow right as he entered giving him time to slice his dad open with the barbed wire. The Starchild threw Jugernaut out of the door and onto the top of the first cage, then climbed to the top of the second cage and entered the third tiew plexiglass cage, and climbed the ladder inside there to the top of the structure near the briefcase. Jugernaut slowly came up to the top, and The Starchild waited for him. When Jugernaut got to the top, The Starchild reached over, and pushed him off of the top and onto the top of the second; Jugernaut then rolled off onto the top of the first cage. The Starchild grabbed the brief case to win the match.

The match got a standing ovation from the crowd as Jugernaut climbed back into the ring down the ladder. The Starchild climbed down the outside of the cages and went half way up the ramp, turned back and saw the bloody Jugernaut standing in the middle of the ring and walked back to the ring as the cage rose back up a bit. The father and son hugged as the show ended.

Post-Show DVD Bonus Feature

The Starchild grabbed a microphone and handed Jugernaut the briefcase containing his retirement papers. "Do what you want with them old man." Right after that, Rod and Dick Gazinya, along with Nester DeFranco and Frankie Gazinya made their way to the ring. The Gazinya's and Nester looked at Jugernaut and The Starchild, and eventually they all held each others hands up in celebration for all GFW has done. Dick points to the crowd, and the camera changes angles to see none other than Old Man "Animal" Gazinya himself sitting in a luxury box watching the event. Jack Brown, Flash, and Mike Moore also come to the ring in a party of sorts. The fans begin to chant "Please don't go." as the stars begin to leave the ring together.
