Review by: Miss Ris
This autobiography went to number one on the New York bestsellers list.
I just couldn't put this book down, some of the stories are just unbelievable.
There are a lot of pictures and the print is a little large. Who would
have thought that a wrestler who acts so childish on TV could have written
such an excellent book? There is so much more history to Mick Foley than
the WWF shows you. The stories of how he grew up and wrestled in his own
backyard, jumping off the roof and doing high risk moves from the beginning.
He takes you to Japan were he had some historic matches with long time
friends, Terry Funk and Vader. You can read about the legendary match where
Mick lost part of his ear, and you can see a picture of the bloody ear.
He also takes you on a tour of his WWF career, and the stories behind his
characters Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love. This man has had numerous
injuries, like the Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, when his tooth
went through his nose! I have never heard of that happening before, to
anyone. I really enjoyed this, because you get to hear his stories told
his way. The man you see on TV is not as dumb as you may think. He takes
enormous risks with his body to do what he loves to do and his family hates
him to do.
